Let's just say that one day you had won the lotto for like over a billion dollars. When you get that money, what amusement park or roller coaster would you attempt to save or what would do to fix a coaster ride or amusement park? Let your imaginations fly like crazy as I'm suspecting that this will be a fun thread. If I had that kind of money, after building my own amusement park (like I've mentioned in the Dream Park thread), I would've tried to save the Hercules at Dorney Park & moved Hydra: the Revenge to another section of the park. Even though Hercules was a lil rough, it wasn't that bad & it was a masterpiece in Dorney Park's history. Also, I would've saved Six Flags Astroworld because even though this park was getting a bad rep from many coaster enthusiasts (with the exception of Texas Cyclone), it looked like the park itself had a lot of potential.

I'd do what I could for Coney Island - ie rebuild some of the lost classics (Tornado, Thunderbolt, etc)... so much potential...

I would buy a 6 sattelite Huss Breakdance, a Huss Top Spin, and a Mondial Shake and then I would travel around with bigger fairs and give the US fairgoers a taste of how they run rides at a German fair.
Why travel? Because I would have so much money that it wouldn't matter!

Wow, quite a budget... I don't think the lotto will ever reach $1B, but whatever.
I'd like to rebuild some of the old parks in my vicinity, such as Idora Park and Euclid Beach.

I would do something about Williams Grove.
Or, I would bring back the Bayern Kurve to Kennywood.
Either that or I would fix up Garfield's Nigtmare (AKA Garfield's Hangover) back into the Old Mill.
And I have no idea what I would do with the rest. Besides helping out Conneaut Lake.
Yeah, I know, I'm so obsessed with the dying park thing...

No doubt about it I'm buying up Clementon Park. First thing I'm doing is whatever I can to get Jack Rabbit up and running. Then maybe getting rid of Chaos and bringing an older flat back.

Just to keep it a teensy eensy bit reasonable, I'm gonna say a $360 million Powerball with $240 million after taxes. I'd still need some kind of capital to invest to live off the interest, preventing everything from being used on a park since that would probably be more of a donation. & I'd still need a condo in NY, Philly, or DC for the off season.
I'm a local girl & I like the appeal of 1/2 million people on summer weekends all looking for a good time with disposable cash. Buy Ocean City MD's Pier Rides (& Jolly Roger if it has to come with), and join forces with Trimper's with whatever extra money is necessary.
Then somewhere in the surrounding area of Berlin-Showell-Selbyville would get a May-October live actor haunted house the likes of which the world has never seen.
