What exactly is a water coaster? How many are in the USA?

A water coaster is a roller coaster combined with a boat ride.

Orlando
San Diego (probably best example in US)
Wisconson
Oregon

Some don't considerthese true coasters. I personally don't think the last two are credits, but I'd say that San Diego is and possible Orlando.

hey, there were only 50 people ahead of me on line. How was I to know the capacity was only 70 people per hour.

Also, it was my first water coaster - I didn't know it sucked before I got on it

I rode my first water coaster today at Cast Away Bay it's called Rendezvous Run. The park is very pretty, clean, and offers alot for a good and fair price.

How about telling how the actual ride itself was?

That is a master blaster isn't it? you also have Rocker slides like the Tiphone at SFNE. or the Twisting no water gear required slides like at Canbobie. These arn't caoster. there water slides.

Basicly like in the first post a water coaster is a flume or boat type ride with a coasater track section.

i personaly havn't ridden one year but they look like fun. But it you can count That Mt olympus one I guess you shoudl be able to Count Ripsaw and Splash Mountain as water coasters since they have those jump hills.

mrc is right, water slides are much different than coasters. If I counted every water slide that I have been on as a coaster, my count would be like 400.

I know, I really want to ride it. I want to visit a Disney water park, and it makes the decision really hard between BB and TL. So far I've only been to River Country back in the day.

You sit in a boat with two people and the boat is on a track and the ride goes up and down hills and it's in the dark most of the time. The ride is alot of fun but I don't think it's really a water coaster because it's not on a track all the time and it's guided by water at times.

A conveir belt or a water jet run isn't a track.
