Thanks MRC I know you thought I was being picky but I really take pride in most my reviews(other then that crappy pirate one from funtown) so to see them get locked out because of trivial conversations I do find that annoying.

As far as this topic I was not overly happy with the park because of the high admissions price. That park should cost no more then MIA which is 23.00. Therefore if they are expanding I hope they can do it with the same ticket cost. The landscaping in some areas looks very nice other areas look like the fair so I would say their future could easily go both ways. Are they improving or just holding on.

Like I have said, they are looking at adding a bunch of Zamperla flat rides, for a new expansion next year. They also, were thinking of adding other new rides. If they were to add a new roller coaster, which kind do you think they would add?

I don't think they should add one. It looks like they have more then enough general issues to handle. The flat package seems like a much better idea. Oh and work on this gift shop that place is a sty.

I agree with Coaster05 A flats package woudl add allot more veriaty to the park and ovver more for your money. I think they shoudl wait a couple more years before considerign the coaster. if old orchard closes then ther eis no need to get rid of the galixy they have and shoudl then add a third coaster.

Where do you think the flat rides would be placed? In the back of the park in the Camelot section? In the pathway between the Kiddie Train, and the Flying Trapeze? Or, would they add them with in the area around Dragon's Descent?

I would scatter them and maybe think of slowly changing the park layout. It has a weird flow to it by the way you get to some rides then other areas have nothing like that large paved lot. Maybe a nice slow rework of some of the paths. I would kill the Galaxi no matter what. Start by cleaning up that area add a couple flats and start cleaning up the park from that point. More of the park need to have that dragon descent feel.

I agree the rides shoudl be skatered. some in every area. and the back area by Galixy I also agree needs some work. I think the inner area were the Carousel and Baloon race it shoudl get removed. ther eis nothign good in that area outside the Bernies cars.

They were talking about adding into the excaliber area as a new section but thats going to be a huge undertaking since they will need BAthrooms and at least a snack shop.

I agree another coaser woudl be nice. but I rather have 2-5 flats then one coaster. maybe a couple flats and a smaller family coaster. but they need to increas there overall ride count and they need to do somthing to increase capacity in the park.

They could build many flat rides, like a Disk-O, a Kite Flyer, a Flying Tigers whip, and a Samba Tower(like Over the Rainbow at Canobie). Funtown also needs a dark ride. Maybe a Sally interactive dark ride? Because of how Zamperla flat rides have been mentioned, they may add a Zamperla coaster, like a Volare, Zig Zag, Windstorm, or a Family Coaster? Which one would you like top see the most?

The windstorm looks the best. I havn't heard many good things about Valore. I think it would provide a good step up coaster between Galixy and Excalibure.

I like Zamperla products. But I woudl liek to see them get away from teh fair and carnival look they have. at least get the rides themed to the areas in which they are in. the Chines Dragons Descent area coudl use a couple more rides.

They should have a Mandarin themed Samba Tower. Maybe a Disk-O themed to the Camelot section. Possibly, a new section could be in the works. Out of all the coasters, the Windstorm would be the best, as it would be a transition from the Galaxi to Excalibur. However, Funtown is in need of a kiddie coaster, so they may add a kiddie coaster. I'm doubtful of a Volare being added, because all I have heard about them, is that they are rough, slow to load, low capacity, breaks down a lot, and has very uncomfortable restraints.

Those wouldn't be bad things. I have heard mixed things about the Disko. the larger skater was better after geting a Disco moter but I have heard that the ride is uncomfertable.

The manderic thmed samba tower would be good but I can't picture it's set up.

A baloon race would also me good as well as a custom themed Discovery.

Those are some more great ideas. Funtown maybe will build a ride that takes guests upside down. They don't have any that do.

IT's hard to find a goot fliping ride. a power surge is out since there is one at Old Orchard. perhaps a chance invertr with a custom theme.

Inverters are small and could be fit easly into the park.

I think that Funtown wouldn't get an inverter because they cost as much as a bunch of flat rides sometimes, and I usually only hear bad things about them.

Maybe a Robocoaster would be a good choice.

I wouldn't mind seeing a Robo Coaster but I don't see then Buying enough to make it an atraction like Lego land did. you'ld be more apt to see ay NE park add a single Robocoaster as an upcharge atraction.

I thought that it could fit a Manderin or Camelot theme. Also, they are new and there are very little of them in the United States, so it would be a unique, fun attraction for Funtown.

Funtown could also maybe add a Wipeout, similar to the one at Canobie Lake Park.

wow...I'd forgotten about this park! My parents used to take me there for vacations. That was when I was (shamefully) a coaster wimp. I do have vague memories of Excalibur and Galaxie. But overall I thought the park was boring...but last time I went I was 8 (8 yrs ago). Anyway, I like to see if they improved upon it any...

King - Why should they get a Whipout like Canobie's when they already have a Rullet wheel(tribiant) they runit well I agree it's not as exiting but they need to add rides not replace. I mean eventualy they do need to replace some of there Carnival rides like the Yo Yo. but not right now.

iScream - It's not the best park in the world. but Excalibur, Dragons Descent, Thunder falls Flume, Astro Sphere, etc are all great rides. They have a few ok rides. I think mst of there broblem is that htey don't have a larger number of attractions.

Aparantly the old owners the guy who ran Splashtown didn't take good care of it. I guess the ride got too troublesome and they took it out.

I would like a new dark ride and a new steel coaster. But by this point I wouel like to see them get anything. i think a small addition of 4-5 flats would give them an inexpensive upgrade and pull in allot of locals and travilers since the park can advetise as biger and better.

They need to get money and peopel in before they can get a 2 million + dark ride and a 7+ milion steel coaster. Unless they can find something good used.

Well by the map online it looks to be a lausy slide. dosn't make me want to travil nearly 3 hours to the park. If they were to get a few good Flats I might consider it.

also were have they been doing the park shows? are they using the outdoor stage by the water park or did they reopen the theater behind the arcade games?

They have been doing shows for the last few eyars. 2003 I think. I'm more wondering were in the park they are doing them.

For me to get to Funtown I have to go past Canobie lake park, Yorks, and Technicaly Old Orchard beach.

I normaly take Rt1. I hate Hyways.

The zoo is pretty good. The scrambler is run well so it the Round up. the Ferris wheel runs facing the harber and gives you a great veiw of town. It's like $18 for a Zoo/ all ride pass so it's a cheap easy day. we normaly, since were headign north, his York's spend a few hours and then go up to Palice for the afternoone.

I've never been to York's either. It seems like they have a lot of great rides, but I'm not into zoos. They got rid of both their roller coasters.
