If only I had $1.6 million to spare to buy Joyland park. Looks like a nice little park you could fix up. Not big by any means, but it'd still be a fun little park to own.

ILve never seen an entire AP up for grabs on ebay before. I hope someone buys it and runs it the way it is. It would be a real shame to see it fall into the hands of a developer. Maybe we should start a fund on this site...

The bad news is my coaster countLs too low to post. The good news is itLs expected to grow by 50% this season alone

Yes, that would be nice.

I wonder if Coasterbuzz, TPC, and Thrillnetork and various other forums got together to raise a fund, maybe there would be enough money? I doubt it...but it'd be awesome

I used to have this rich girlfriend that i know has the money, so maybe if i hook back up with her i could have her dad buy it and she would give ownership to me and i could give it to you and then i would dump her because i dont really like her.

Although it would be really cool to own, and considering you get 40 acres, 24 rides, it doesn't seem like a bad price. But, looking at those pictures, it looks as if the park is in pretty bad shape, and would cost a lot, possibly millions of dollars, to return it to the glory that it had been. I hope someone can rescue this little place, or even some of those rides (especially the carousel and train).

^

That is a really good buy if you consider all the rides and land that comes with it. Maybe someone nice will buy it and restore all the rides and have it back up to normal. THAT IS A REALLY GOOD PRICE ON THIS PARK. I am thinking about if I owned it, Iwould have it opened to ThemeParkCritic members ONLY and you would not have to get off the coasters, just go right back through the station.

Can you sell anything on ebay? The park owners must have been desperate to put it up for sale on ebay where anyone can but it.

It is too bad i dont have that much money because i think owning an amusement park would be really fun and eventaully i could probably make a lot of money and own my own chain of amusement oarks but unless i find 1.6 million laying around I'm outta luck.

Who knows? Maybe one of us will win the lottery tomorrow. Unfortunately, rich ex-girlfriends aside, none of us has that much lying around. Even if the 4700 plus members on this site all pooled their resources, weLd still come up way short.

How is it humanly possible to sell a ghost on ebay? Both the seller and the buyer must be looney toons.

I often dream about what I would do if I could buy a park. I believe if I ever won the lottery I would buy a park then hire some of our members to help run it. I mean what a great way to retire.

Heck, if I won the lottery tomorrow, I'd rescue the B&B Carousell. Immediately. No joke. Then I'd move along to Joyland, and have a look-see...

Well, I wonder if we got a hold of Bill Gates if he would loan us ......say............$1.6 million........ then we could buy it, and I would work there for free if I was guaranteed a place to stay and some food out of the park whenever I wanted it.

The chances are greater of one of us winning the lottery than Bill Gates giving us money. But then again Bill Gates does donate millions of dollars a year to charities, I know this site isnt a charity but im sure he coould spare the money.

He could definatly spare the money and he owns like 17% of SFI so why not buy a small park and have fun. look at Bonfonti Gardens.

What is the huge problem with it exactly? You can find out what is enclosed by simply clicking on the link that points directly to the messages inside the thread, I don't see any real significant problem here...
