Point of Interest - With the new Supreme Court ruling it doesn't matter if the land is for sale of not if it is deemed for the "public" good.

This sounds liek a basic Eminant Domain seting. that works for city and state things but I doubt a private company can take advantage of it.

Don't doubt it, it can happen.

According to the recent Supreme Court ruling a private company can take advantage of it. The test case was a developer that wanted people's houses and property to build a mall and the Supreme Court sided with him and said ruled it was in the public's best interest.

Yup-scary but true. They grabbed these people's houses and properties to put up a hotel and shops.

That sounds about right. An entire development in my area was taken over to put in a Lowe's. About 100 houses were wrecked and about 400 people were homeless because of it. I'm sure that amusement parks could take advantage of this in some way.

Let's see. They can't just wreck the train depot next door to it. They can't just wreck I25. And the pepsi center isn't going anywhere either. They are sandwiched in between an interstate train tracks and the pepsi center. There is 1 acre left but the city is making it into a small local park.

LOL. You saw a movie instead? That is too funny. Instead of an all day affair, you went to see a 2 hour movie. That shows the state of the park.

F.Y.I- I haven't SFDL visited in about 4 years...I'm not kidding...

That's the problem with people today. They don't want to spend money at amusement parks and then we wonder why they close.

it's not the I don't want to spend money. Peopel are goign to Amusmetn park more now then they were 10 years ago. It's teh cost. or in turn I LOVE SFI, PAramount, Disney, Universal, etc. the smallfamily owned parks that can't add Million dollar atraction each eyar get left behind.

A few have servived but many are still suffering. in the next 5 years i won't be suprised if we loose at leat 6 parks from the US lineup.
