I think that posts in the FoN and Signature Testing Forums should not count towards overall post count. There are other sites that do this and it works very well. Spam has become this sites favorite pasttime as of late and there is no stoping it. I realize that we can not just start all over with the post counts because that would not be fair to those who have made quality posts and such, but, getting this stoped now would prevent it from happening in the future. Thank you.

Well he said all our posts on the sig and testing forum wont be counted on the new site. He didnt say anyhting about the posts in the FoN however. But it might be another year (or two) before its even out.

No, but it would definately kill the amount of spam because some people do think that their post count matters. If the posts didn't count then they wouldn't see a point in spamming so much.

hmmmm well from the looks of it, it seems like most of the spammers on here are being banned anyway.. which would then get rid of the problem of spamming for the most part because aside from the heavy duty spammers I don't see many other people flooding the boards with garbage.

Well, at the time this was posted and up until recently there was a lot of crap and there still is once in a while. There are people that come on and post like 180 posts about killing people and stuff. That has nothing to do with what I proposed, but it still sucks especially for the mods to have to go through deleting all of it and having to bother Mark to have to ban them. I do have to admit though, the stupid stuff has slowed down a good deal lately.

Farp, take my word for it. We've had to delete about 1200 racist/spam/hateful threads and half a dozen users, not to mention a certain anti-Semite (who then came back with new accounts) and an obnoxious Brit with a knack for being a pest.
We've just tried to stay on top of it enough so that the user's dont have to put up with it and/or sift through the crap, but you'll have to take my word for it

THIS IS TERRIBLE.
A new member called craiglewis is the WORLD's BIGGEST SPAMMER. He made over 1,700 POSTS in less than 4 HOURS in the Coaster Critic's Discussion. Could you please delete all of his useless posts because THEY HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH AMUSEMENT PARKS, JUST INSULTING THIS SITE AND PEOPLE. He has ruined that forum, so could you please try to delete all of his posts and BAN HIM AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Thanks.
