This ride right here is crayz but so freaking awesome.
This is by far the best drop tower Ive been on. I was in a rush to get out and I saw this was loading with no wait so I hopped on. Im glad I did. The suspense at the top was incredible, especially due to the teases from the ops. I really liked the tilting aspect and the drop had an incredible weightlessness sensation.
The best tower ride Ive ever been on, and I have to say that this is the only ride in the park that actually scares the s*** out of me. I was able to get two rides when I went to the park and both rides were fast and intense. I love the feeling of weightlessness that this ride offers, plus the intensity of standing and being tiltled forward. 10/10.
I was actually disappointed the first time I rode this. My expectation was for it to be a perfect 10, but Acrophobia didnt deliver the rush I thought it would. Still, its a great ride and it is much smoother and overall more comfortable than FreeFall.
This the best drop ride I have ever been on. Even though I am not afraid of heights I still love the view and anticipation when you are at the top and how sometimes the operator talkes to you whe you are waiting to drop. The ride has a great freefall and makes the coolest sound when it drops. I love this ride!
Its wicked awesome!!! When you start going up you think "when is it going to stop? it just keeps going higher and higher". When we get to the peak of it, the ride ops tilt us forward and leave us hanging. They start messing with are heads and drop us at the most unexpected time. And, Acrophobia is the perfect "hands-up" ride.
I love this ride! The ride operators are great. One of them kept on saying "fresh meat" to the first-timers. When you are at the very top, sometimes, theyll count you down. I think the best part of the ride, is that youre standing up. No one did that until Acrophobia. But, overall, its an awesome ride!
I really like the tower rides. They are short but so is TTD. I think it is really cool to feel like you are falling to the ground. The fact that is tips you forward gives it that extra something that other drop towers dont have. This ride has what pilots call "the pucker factor"!
This may not be the most popular of reviews, considering this is (well, will be was) the 12th highest ranked ride on TPC. Acrophobia, a fear of heights. I dont have a case of Acrophobia myself, but still, I am not thrilled by drop towers very much. With that in mind, I will still give Acro an 8. I rode twice today for my first rides ever, mainly because it was a walk-on, and I heard that the seats were tilting very well for the first time in a while, so I figured what the hell. The seats are akward compared to others, but being "different" gave this ride a uniqueness point. Spinning up was a good way to see the park from a different perspective, and once we got to the top on my first ride, the seat tilted out quite a bit, you could no longer look out strait in the direction of Marietta, which could probabyl be visable on a slightly clearer day (note to self: look for the Big Chicken next time!). The taunting from the ride ops is cool, which adds another point, but then it released, and off we went into virtual freefall. Oh, but its over in a mere two seconds. The sound the tower makes is cool too, as is the airflow after the ride falls, but I cant say that I would want to wait an hour for it. MY second ride was a little less thrilling, though I was supposed to be in the "best" seats, I prefered my first seat selection. In the end, coming from a person who just doesnt "get" the thrill in drop towers, I think that an 8 is a good score for what is currently my favorite tower ride to date.
