It was a good ride, the effects were good. It could use an update but I dont think it is needed. Beware though, I got wet!

Not that great of a ride, but the look on my sisters face was just priceless. she was only 5 at the time and she had a look of pure horror on her face when the shark popped out of the water. she was clinging to me for the whole ride.

Very boring ride with no excitement. This is not worth the wait and I would not go on it again.

HORRIBLE. The tour guide is SO fake and stupid that he/she ruins the whole ride. Plus Jaws can only be felt strongly and only be seen from one row on the train, so all the rest of the passengers are basically just there for the boat ride. You dont get wet AT ALL either. Not worth a wait or even a ride. DONT BELIEVE THE ADVERTISEMENT!!

Its still not safe to go back into the water (unless you got a boat). Jaws is a good ride, but the real fun is watching "The Mom who seen Jaws 1, 2, 3, 4, and the unrealsed secret versoin and doesnt know about technology" freak out at jaws and almost gets a heart attack but gets an ulsar instead.

it was pretty cheesy. a lot of it depends on how good your tour guide is at acting

I just cant believe how lackluster this ride is. I went to Universal Orlando when they first opened and there was talk of the new JAWS ride they were building. With Kong (then fun), Back to the Future, and Earthquake in place ... I had decent hopes. This ride is DUD though. Too many people on each of the boats and the ride just isnt scary at all. My recommendation is to scrap the current scenerio and re-use the props and scenery in JAWS log flume or river-rapids style ride. Until then, this is a little more than Disneys Jungle Cruise with the shark replacing the hippos and WITHOUT the charm of Disney Family Magic.

Ive been on this ride about 10 times and have all the details you could possibly want. First off the shark doesnt look "fake". I think its pretty well detailed the only problem that I do have with the shark is that it moves in a pattern exept for the climax of the ride. It lunges forth out of the water and moves in a sweeping motion across the side of the boat. Now youll want to go on Jaws early to avoid the horrible noon lines that usually accur. It is extremely important that you sit on the LEFT side of the boat this is where the action is and if possible get an outside seat. Unfourtunatly the skipper of the boat will determine youre enjoyment on this ride. They have lines and take it from me some of these guys cant act. Heres a list of bad skipper expieriences Ive had. 1,theyre panic sounds like exitement,2,they just cant act,3, theyre sarcastic. For instance one time the skipper started blasting away at the shark at the climax like he shound but he was shouting stuff like "This is for Robert Shaw!" and "Heres one for the bad sequels!" If you didnt like the ride during the day or better yet if you did than try riding it at night. The shark is harder to see, it definetly goes with the Jhon Williams theme for the ride, the exploding oil rig and wall of fire look spectacular. I think that just about sums it up. Oh one more thing dont look over the side of the boat or risk seeing the dorment shark resting below the water this really detracts from the effect of the ride.

A big part of the ride enjoyment is if your "skipper" is into his/her role. Luckily we had a good one on our trip and it made the ride so much better. So what if the shark looks fake? It IS fake and people know that going in. Its still neat the first time to look around and wonder where hell pop up next!
