I didnt care for the film Twister very much, but the attraction was alright. At least it was only 10 minutes long. Considering, the relative newness of this attraction, compared to Jaws and Earthquake, for example, the attraction was about the same as Earthquake. Adjusting for attraction age, this ride gets a lower rating.
This is definitely an underrated attraction. It was actually pretty exciting. I enjoyed the twister itsself haha, you could barely even hear the fan that was creating it! But other than that it was very well themed, and had a very exciting ending with the roof falling on you.
I think that this is the most under rated attaction in the park. Im sure the reason for it is because people dont understand what they are getting in line for. It is not a ride, it is not a sit down theatre, and it is not a show with characters. It is a stand up show of a potential scene in the movie twister. I thought it was just great. The wind produced in the room is just amazing. The twister is really cool. The destruction is so lifelike. The fire is extremely close. When you go, people always tend to go up the stairs. DONT. Walk past the stairs and you will have an unobstructed view of the carnage. I take a point off because of the annoying preshows. Definately the worst preshows at Universal.
Interactive movie. Thats what it is. I thought it was a ride and went in there very disappointed. They could have made this much better though if it were a ride instead. As an "interactive movie", they still could have made it better by at least letting you sit, but you have to stand through the short, not even 5 minute whatever-you-wanna-call-this-attraction. You started off watching a 10 minute video about the making of the film (while standing), walk through another room and watch another video standing about how destructive tornados are and then you finally get there. You stand by a fence and watch some special effects do their thing and get a little wet in the process. Decent, but definitely could have been better.
Not bad at all...the effects are top notch. The Pre-shows are well designed. I like it alot. Universal has done it again.
Pretty cool attraction... really short wait to get inside... really nicely done compared to the movie
I love Twister -- its slightly educational and fun. Its never too long a line either. Definately do this if you have time.
it had some good elements(little twister, and the room shaking) but hey, u dont get to sit down, its short, and its not a whole lot to look at compared to some other things at universal.
A fun deminstration on what the actors went through to make this film.Nice special effects and great themeing involved.I dont know why Universal says Twister RIDE it out where its not even a ride, but still a fun experence and pretty much as close to a tornadoe then people will ever get.
I loved this attraction. Relatively simple - idea anyway. I think Universal is basically about letting you experience the movies and this ride did that AMAZINGLY. It actually gave me goosebumps.
Ive alway been a big fan of the behind the scenes stuff in movies, and this ride was like itching a scratch.
The Pre-Shows were interesting, the actual show itself incredible- awe inspiring.
I dont think this ride gets enough credit.
