This ride is really fun, fast, and intense to ride. I really like the theming and special effects. You have to ride it backwards and forwards when you ride it however because its different both ways. The Lost Coaster Of Superstition Mountain is a wood roller coaster it was built in 2002 by CCI. It is enclosed. It is 35' tall, it is 1,400' long. It is rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
This is one weird looking ride and completely unique and wild experience. The design of the cars and elevator are excellent. Even though this ride is rough it provides sufficient padding. This ride really keeps you on the edge of your seat. I strongly suggest riding it both backwards and forward to catch all the surprises.
I only got one ride, and had to sit backwards so I didnt get to see everything. The lift is unique, and the mountain looks good. It is jerky, but if you have survived Viper at Great Adventure, you could ride this in your sleep.
this is must go on it is very very intense and it makes u laugh a lot AND IT HAS GOOD THEMEING
I love how this ride is themed. The 3 foot bear on the side is classic. I would give it a ten but it is a slow moving line and seems to be broken a lot.
A hard ride to review. I decided it could not be as good as the other 2 coasters considering I usually only ride this once per visit, but it is pretty fun. I am just amazed that it actually makes it through the whole ride considering how steep the drops and curves are. Dont assume because it is small that it would be a good ride to warm up young riders on.
Unique? Yes. Interesting? Yes. A bit too particular? Yes. That just about sums it up. Theming was cool, esspecailly that train at the end. Very cool but not that spectacular.
The ride itself is a very cool mix of coaster and dark ride. I really enjoyed the campy theming along with a fun ride. My favorite though is the Dynamite Willy character, that just cracked me up. Make sure you sit facing forward to take in all the theming.
Is it a roller coaster, or a dark ride? That is the question you ask, because it has elements of both.
This is one of those rides you are either going to love, or you are going to hate. It tosses you around a lot, a real lot. But I think it is the good kind of rough, the kind I can take over and over again, particually in the unique, well padded trains.
As for the ride, it offers some great sudden drops, tight, impossible cornering, great speed, and a mid course brake that you actually like because it is setup for a great anamitronic. Infact, the ride has several animitronics, from the talking skeleton on the lift (which, BTW, is an elavator, not a standard hill) which asks you to go get some tacos from the place next door, among other things, to the various animals and a run-a-way train. Sound and lighting effects make this coaster one of a kind, and a winner in my book. I cant wait to get back and ride again!
this ride is really fast and really intense and of course fun i love the themeing and all the the extras they put inside too add too the experience. like animals falling rocks and a crazy miner named dynamite willie.did i mension its the only wood coater in the world with an elevator instead of a chainlift.the cave has had a refinement job since it was made in the 70s as simply superstition mnt. and new tracking of course.some of the old affects are still inside and working too new extensions like all the animals in new spots and thetrain with a new sound affect at the end that even if it doesnt pop out still surprises you cause youre going into it so fast.the earth quake zone axtually works now.anyway i dont want too give away the many features this ride has.and the coaster itself is amazing it is just one word Wild!!! good job Tom Spackmen sr. and jr. and cci
