Man is this a sweet coaster. The trains themselves are awesome. That first drop is a doozey, then you get a vertical loop, followed by an immelman, then a zero-g roll, followed by a cobra roll, then MCBR, another vertical loop, then that cool roll thing. This is just a great ride, and whats even better is the line is never very long, so you can get multiple rides!

This was absolutly the best ride ive ever ridden on in my life! Despite the fact ive only been on lik 20-30 rides in my life. Kraken is a floorless coaster which in my way of thinking, is better than a coaster with a floor. I rode on this ride three times. I rode it the first time, and it was the best ride ive ever been on. That was that afternoon. In the evening we went on it again. This tim was a thrill of my life! Or, a fun ride threw these inversions. The second tim was over. I went on it the third tim and awsom tim i had! It seemed lik the best tim of my lif! One of the best rides out there which big Shamu controls! This is a GOOD ride!

Kraken is awesome, the first drop is awesome, the first loop is huge, the air time is amazing, there is no let down in this beast. There is one barrel roll half loop thing that I cant explain, but it has some of the best air-time I have ever felt, you have to ride it to understand. I think that it is worth the admission, because it is so smooth that you could spend all day riding this ride over and over again and never get bored.....and there is rarely a line longer than 30 minutes, which is good for such a great ride.

I dont see the extreme fascination with this but it was a pretty good ride. It had nice inversions, and was good for Sea World. I would still take a ride on the Hulk or Dueling Dragons before this, though. It was very very impressive.

SICKNESS! I got front row on it because I hit Kraken in the morning, first ting int he park. The "floorless"design is sweet, you think your feet are going to hit the track. A nice long ride too. Better than anything at UNIVERSAL ISLANDS, but second to ROCK N ROLLERCOASTER. I hope Sea World Orlando builds some more coatsers!

Sea World isnt what you normally think of when you think of coasters, but if you go, go on Kracken. I have to disagree with some of the other reviewers of this ride though. Some people said this ride has great themeing. I wouldnt call a cement eel and some riddles painted on the queue wall great themeing. There was no themeing on the ride itself, and the themeing in the queue is very weak. For good on ride themeing for a coaster, ride thunder mountain at the Magic Kingdom. For good coaster queue theming, check out the dueling Dragons castle at Islands of Adventure.

Now for the ride. This just may be my new favorite roller coaster in orlando. Right now Im still undecided whether the Hulk or Kracken is better, but they are both rated 10 in my book. I was expecting the floorless part of the ride to be scarier, but I didnt even notice the track under my feet during most of the ride. After the lift hill giving riders a great view of the park (for no additional charge), you go plummeting down the steep first hill. This caught me totally by suprize of how steep and high the first drop was. On most coasters in the Orlando area, you are either launched or go down the first hill directly into a curve instead of staight down, and this is why I probably wasnt expecting this. It had to be my favorite part of the ride because it actually scared me for a second, and that is very unusual for me because Ive been on lots and lots of coasters. After the first drop, there are lots and lots of loops as well as some other cool stuff. As the ride goes on, the loops get smaller and smaller, and eventually start going half above ground, and half below ground. Then for a finale, you go into the mist filled Krackens lair under a pond and after that, the ride is just about over.

My biggest problem with the ride is that I always thought a Kracken was a giant squid, but from the cement statue in the front of the ride, it looks like Sea Worlds version of a Kracken is a giant eel!

Also, ride in the front. The ride is amazing this way.

I consider this the best coaster in Orlando. I was very surprised at how well Sea World themed this coaster. I did not expect any theming at all from it, but was surprised on and off the ride. The theming in the queue was very unique, and set high expectations for the ride.

The itself also was very fun, however it was a standard B&M and lacked a little bit of originality, it was made up for in the theming.

Kraken was something I neither knew about nor expected when I went to SeaWorld. As we exited our car and started walking towards the gate, I looked up and saw it, with my reaction being "What the heck is that? A rollercoaster? In SeaWorld??" Well, I was correct. But this ride blew me away. I owe alot to Kraken, as before it I was honestly scared of rides that were tall and big. But when I rode Kraken, I have NEVER had the same fear again, and it gave me courage to ride rides like Millennium Force (that summer) and S:RoS @ SFNE (also that summer). Anyways, now to the ride. Kraken is a typical large B&M Floorless: 7 inversions, all in the usual order (except for the loop and flatspin instead of the interlocking flatspins). It has the MCBR, and isnt anything special by itself. But, its waterside setting and cool theming at the end of the coaster, not to mention the unique post-MCBR layout, is what sets this ride apart. It is truely a great ride, and although it may not be the best in the world, it certainly holds a place in any Coaster Lovers heart. A must repeat ride (It almost never has a line. I rode it 3-4 times in the rain!)

I love floorless coasters and I love this ride! It is ridiculously smooth and fast, even though it has 7 INVERSIONS! The theming is terrific. A giant Kraken Serpent awaits you at the gate and its eggs lay in a cave you walk through to get to the ride. The coaster actually looks like a giant teal serpant rising out of the water. There was virtually no line when we went. This coaster is worth the cost of getting into Seaworld by itself.
