Since I visited Hershey with my family, I didnt feel too bad riding this "family" coaster primarily for the credit! It wasnt a horrible ride, but also wasnt very thrilling. It did have a fantastic setting and a little bit of themeing too it that enhanced an otherwise unmemorable ride experience. The best part was the second helix, which was smooth and picked up some good speed in the second half. Unfortunately, the ride was soon over right after it picked up some decent speed!

Has a nice helix, not too thrilling though.

This was a slow, short, boring mine train ride. Definitely, below average. Only good to pad the coaster count. I even saw kids yawning on this one.

This ride REALLY surprised me! I was expecting a very boring and uneventful ride, but this coaster is a lot less tame than it looks! From the first drop after the lift hill, I was filled with excitement! I loved how the track of the coaster was so close to the ground... I actually feared of losing my hands when I put my hands down just in time before traveling under a very low track support! Although this ride does not even come close to measuring up to its neighbor, Storm Runner, intensity-wise, it is still a fun ride for all ages! If the line is fairly short, it will DEFINITELY be worth it!

Barely above average for me. The wait was fairly long (for this kind of coaster) since this is one of the few coasters in the park that even the very small children can ride. The ride is also over before its even begun. The drop is essentially nonexistant, and the turns and etc. are not that forceful except for the ending helix, which produces some decent forces. The theming is sort of their, but not really there at the same time (more intended for the train ride, I believe). With the addition of Storm Runner, you do get some nice fly-bys of the people waiting in line, which serves to enhance the excitement a bit. Still, not recommended if the line is over 15 minutes (I waited about 25) unless you are a massive mine train fan, and even then, you have no doubt been on much better installations than this one.

This was my first coaster and I can't say anything bad about it. I think it a great ride to be a childs first coaster. The turns are nice and calm and you get close to the ground. Most kids will enjoy it and get a small feeling of a coaster.

Trailblazer is a fun mine train coaster at Hersheypark and the best coaster there for children and families. Located in Pioneer Frontier at the very back, Trailblazer is surrounded by many trees keeping the entire layout hidden. Storm Runner flies by the Trailblazer on numerous occasions. With a large wooden station that fits in with the western theme, Trailblazers logo is nice. Trailblazer has black track. Only running one train, Trailblazers wait generally is around 5-10 minutes. You ride in a long 30 passenger, light brown, mine-themed train. Loading somewhat slowly, Hersheypark only runs one train for Trailblazer causing its capacity to be rather low because it takes a while to complete its course. You are restrained by a simple lap bar. Beginning your ride, you slowly roll out of the station and approach the lift hill. The train travels very slowly up the lift hill with many trees surrounding it. Trailblazers layout has no major drops and isnt very wild. There are some sudden drops and low to the ground turns. By far the best part of Trailblazer is the finale helix where some good forces occur and at the end you zoom into a tunnel leading back to the station, ending the ride. Overall, a fun mine train coaster that isnt that wild and a good family coaster. I found it rather tame and uneventful compared to other coasters, but the ride still is an amazing family coaster. I recommend this ride to anyone who enjoys mine train or family sized coasters.
