This is my favorite childhood coaster. The highlights of all my trips to Seaside Heights as a child include riding this coaster. Its scary as hell being right above the Atlantic Ocean at the top, and then the twisted layout is just amazing. Its short and compact, but those turns and drops are great. Its sad to see it go, but lets just see what comes next.
The high rating of this coaster has more to do with its position on the far end corner of the Casino Pier which extends several hundred yards over the waters of the Atlantic Ocean. It is however a great and fast little roller coaster for a local amusement park but the real thrill is riding along the top of it, overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and feeling as if you are just going to go over the edge and plummet into the sea into some very deep water.
On my last visit to the pier over the summer, the Jet Star was gone! A ticket booth salesperson informed me the management had another replica of the Jet Star on order for next season. Well see!
THEY GOT RID OF IT?!?!?!? AHHHHHHHH THIS IS THE WORST DAY EVER, I CAN NOT LIVE ANYMORE. NOW WHAT WILL THEY PUT IN? THE STAR JET? AHHH. OH NO. but i loved that ride, it was a lot of fun.
Yay! its the Jet Star, Its a real shame they got rid of it. It was a whole lot better than funtown piers coaster, and it was a lot better than the mouse and cavern. The only bad thing was that the seat belt really only held in the person in the front.
