Im not sure where to go with this rating. Wacky Worm is an ultra kiddie coaster, and I hardly ever ride such types of coasters. I mean this is a travelling-faire type of ride, but I had one great reason to ride. No, its not to boost my coaster count, rather, my Mom wanted to ride. She had not ridden a coaster in more than 10 years, the last being Ridgeline Racer, so I was more than willing to ride. She enjoyed it and didnt have a problem riding, which is an accomplishment for her even though most of us would laugh as sch achivements. The ride is short but they give you two laps. The layout is fairly mild, with a couple of tiny dips and one nice little drop and turn which gives so good laterals. I have to dissent from BigJohns comments a bit because I had to corss my legs just to get the lap bar down. All in all an ok kiddie coaster I suppose.
Im sure this is fun for kids, but there are better kiddie rides. The Indy Zoo Kombo for instance or SFKKs Rollerskater. Ever for a kiddie ride this one lacks slightly, however I like the looks of the ride.
A generic Wacky Worm, nothing really special. The setting is nice and the operator was fun, so Ill give it an extra point.
As a ride for me, an adult, I give it a 1 or a 2. BUT, this is a kiddie steel coaster, and a much stronger showing than most parks are willing to give in a kiddie coaster. In addition, it was big enough to fit my large body, which made me think it would be grand because now fathers can ride with their children and make it more fun for all the family. In addition, if the operator lets it go a 2nd and 3rd time without unloading, it does pick up some added speeds on the drop which gave even me a fun sensation. Im rating this against other kiddie coasters only, and giving it a strong 8.
An okay kiddie coaster, but there are better ones . . .
