An OK coaster... Wait change that around... a KO coaster, It beats the crap out of your head! Just change thoes to adjustable OTSRs and their you go, no Bangs. But they cant do that can they?
xDisney hit it right in his review. all too often people see an old ride, and do not think highly of it because it is not as smooth as kumba, or the technology isnt as good as that used on the Hulk at IoA. but with older rides like the Python, those newer coasters wouldnt exist. i agree that Python may not be as exciting as a ride on montu, and you may have a headache when you get off. but i still enjoy riding it each time i go just for its place in roller coaster history
NOT A BAD RIDE! It is quite a visually nice ride to look at. Sit in the back to maximize fun, and hold your head back or you may be in for a headache.
Too Short and uncreative (even for its time). The lone bright spot is sitting in the back on the first drop.
Python is a headbanger. Its a very uncomfortable ride and the inversions are not creative. I found the drop a little weak too.
maybe it was good 20 years ago when this kinda ride wasnt commonplace, but its now and compared to everything else it just doesnt cut the mustard.
What a bad ride! That is quite possibly the worst ride I have ever been on. It lasts all of about 45 seconds. I blinked and was back in the station to unload. Avoid this ride at all costs.
almost as worst as the ninja at SFOG, this old ride was a MAJOR DISSAPOINTMENT! we waited for 45 minutes and the ride lasts 1 minute. pathetic
Pa, get the gun and go out back an put old python out of its misery.
This ride sucks. Sorry that the arrow coasters age poorly. Come to think of it Kumba is aging poorly. Maybe its a BGT thang!
I like this coaster, its a part of steel coaster history. It was designed by one of the Great Modern coaster designers Ron Toomer of Arrow-Dynamics. This was only Rons second coaster. His first was the Corkscrew at CP. He has since gone on to design some great coasters including:
Five coasters at CP:
Magnum XL-200
Iron Dragon
Gemini
Cedar Creek Mine Train
Corkscrew
The other coasters he has designed are:
Big Bad Wolf
Desperado - BBRC
Drachen Fire - BGW
Loch Ness Monster - BGW
Ragin Cajun - PB
Steamin Demon - GE
I think this coaster was a pretty good second attempt. There werent very many steel loopers around when this was built. I enjoyed this coaster and think its a good coaster for beginners as well as folks that enjoy coaster history.
