Tanganyika Tidal Wave is a log flume ride. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
Its a nice relaxing river cruise through in abonded town but it lacks themeing the most. Its fun dropping 55 feet causing a really big massive wave but I just dont feel the excietment i feel when i ride jurassic park river adventure at IOA.If it has a short line {which is ushually not that bad}check it out.If the line is over 45 minutes then i suggest standing on the brige and getting a huge splash in the face which is pretty fun too.
Big splash - very wet. Not the best of its type - and simply cant compare with younger similar ride at sister park in Williamsburg. The first part is kind of boring, everyone is just sitting silent as if thinking "when is anything going to happen?" When you finally go up and come down, which is all too quick, is the good part. If youre really looking to get soaked and want to save a lot of your time, just stand on the bridge and prepare to be a drowned rat
Many people overlook this ride, but i find it to be pretty fun. The drop is pretty good, and there is more to it than a lift, turn, and a drop. Plus, it gets you soaked.
This ride isnt that great. The drop is ok, nothing to write home about. I still think that the whole floating through the abandoned town is lame.
This is a pretty good classic flume ride. Pretty long too and has great views of some of the coasters. However, Dudley Do-Rights Ripsaw Falls at IOA is BY FAR the best flume ride in the world and is COMPLETLEY DOMINANT in doing so. I like Busch Gardens, and this ride just adds to the unique mix of rides.
Im rating this a 5 because its an old ride, and its before Busch got good with themeing. The first part of the ride is nice, where you ride through a river past some buildings and a rhino pen, but they should really redo this part because they could do so much more with the theming here. Then you go up the hill and over the drop giving a big splash. Its easy to compare to Jurassic park River Adventure at Islands of adventure. Just take away all of the dinosaurs and story and have the drop outside instead of inside.
I like this water ride. It doesnt just pull you up a lift hill and drop you, it has a nice river cruise beginning part. Its a good way to cool off on a hot day and there usually isnt too bad of a line due to the ride capacity. My only complaint is the gum wall. I think this ride could use some rehab, but its still fun
The ride is off to a slow start but the themeing of the ride and the drop makes it the best water ride in Busch gardens TB.Also the bridge is pretty cool too.
its a great way to cool off but the only fun part is the drop.
