This drop ride is intense. It feels like your body is hanging loose, since you stand with no floor. The drop is extremely fast and fun.

Simply the best tower ride I have ever been on, and it is the most "dramatic" ride out there. The drama begins in line where you can only see the bottom of the tower. The people are loaded in and disappear from your view. Several seconds later you hear it and all of a sudden a WHOOSH of air hits you as the car stops feet above the cement with dazed passengers still reacting from the drop. This gets everyone in line worked up and excited. When you get in (if youre a guy position yourself correctly, this IS important) , you are on your tip toes still grasping to the floor. After loading you are pulled up to what looks to be a reasonable height. The slanted headrests make you look down a little, but not too much. Then, slowly, you are tilted out, now this looks much worse! As you gaze down the 20 storey pole towards the ground, it releases. In what is the most realistic equivilent to jumping off a 20 storey building, you plunge feet first with the ground gaining fast... at the last second you stop with a gush of air. Bewildered, you walk from the ride. Sure to stir even the hardened thrill seeker as the most dramatic ride ever.

If you wanna overcome your fear of heights, this should do it.

The best pure thrill ride in America. Acrophobia is simply the most insane drop ride ever conceived. Ive been on the big dogs: Drop Zone PKI, Power Tower, Supreme Scream, etc. All of them must bow down to Intamins latest brainchild. Acrophobias standing and tilting nature adds to both the drop sensation AND the amazing visual of watching the earth rush straight toward you. No other drop tower can deliver this, and let me tell you it makes a BIG difference. They can go as tall as they want, but if it is not a stand-up tilter like Acrophobia it will be inferior. The only way to top this drop tower is either a taller version or more tilt on the seats. Until then, SFOG can lay claim to having the ultimate thrill ride, bar none.

Well, Ive ridden Drop Zone at PKI dozens of times, blasted up and down Power Tower, Supreme Scream, and countless other vertical towers, but nothing could prepare me for the shear terror this thing forces upon you.

You get onto the bicycle-type seats and pull down your restraints both of which were fairly comfortable. As we rose to the top, I was thinking this couldnt be that bad since its quite a bit shorter than DZ and SS. This should be a piece of cake! The spiraling ascent gives a great view of the park and the original tilt didnt seem all that bad. Who knew that once you reached the top, you would make an extreme tilt and be looking almost straight down at the ground with nothing even closely being able to take your mind off how freaky this stunt was(sorry for the people who got stuck last night!).

The feeling and force your body takes on rivals the intensity and air DZ delivers, but the height truly has an effect on how great it is. This is a real gut-wrencher which Ill think twice before riding again. If any type of ride really gets my blood pumping, these drop rides do it without much work at all. This is one of the scariest ride experiences Ive ever been through and one of the most enerving drops for anticipation. I never make much noise on rides except for the occasional joyous yell such as through the PL on SUF. If you dont scream on this one, youre probably dead. Or maybe just scared stiff.

I loved this ride. It was probably the most intense, fun, and scarriest ride in the park by far (besides s:uf). I was really scared even standing in line. They have all these height comparisons while your in line. The lift hill is the most scary part of the ride. Then, finally when you get up there they tilt you. That is crazy-ness. Ultime rush on the drop. You feel like your free-falling. I love this ride

This is the best ride in the park. This ride will actually get you a little scared. The seat totally make this ride. Also when you lean forward at the top making you look at the ground. It looks like the line can get ugly though if it were a busy day but still a great ride.
