This may not be the most popular of reviews, considering this is (well, will be was) the 12th highest ranked ride on TPC. Acrophobia, a fear of heights. I dont have a case of Acrophobia myself, but still, I am not thrilled by drop towers very much. With that in mind, I will still give Acro an 8. I rode twice today for my first rides ever, mainly because it was a walk-on, and I heard that the seats were tilting very well for the first time in a while, so I figured what the hell. The seats are akward compared to others, but being "different" gave this ride a uniqueness point. Spinning up was a good way to see the park from a different perspective, and once we got to the top on my first ride, the seat tilted out quite a bit, you could no longer look out strait in the direction of Marietta, which could probabyl be visable on a slightly clearer day (note to self: look for the Big Chicken next time!). The taunting from the ride ops is cool, which adds another point, but then it released, and off we went into virtual freefall. Oh, but its over in a mere two seconds. The sound the tower makes is cool too, as is the airflow after the ride falls, but I cant say that I would want to wait an hour for it. MY second ride was a little less thrilling, though I was supposed to be in the "best" seats, I prefered my first seat selection. In the end, coming from a person who just doesnt "get" the thrill in drop towers, I think that an 8 is a good score for what is currently my favorite tower ride to date.

I loved Acrophobia. I waited 60 minutes but i thought it was really thrilling. It looks so low and then you get to the top and realize that it aint low anymore. its really high at 200 ft approx. Its neat to be almost standing up and thinking u could slip out but by time you try thinking about the possibilities youre already fallin down and the drop is intense! A must at SFOG.

Achrafobia was a very good attraction except for the seating arrangement. It kind of hurts when your feet dont reach the ground.:uhoh:

My second favorite ride at the park. I was SOOOO scared to ride this ride. It was finally my turn. I hoped into the seat, finding that it was really no seat at all. I knew that you stood up on the ride, but I didnt know you actually STAND. I was sitting next to my good friend and we held hands (She was scared also). Then it started to rise, and rise, and rise. While youre going up, the ring turns 360° giving you a full view of the park. I was even MORE scared at the top and yelled some inapproprate things. When it tilts 15° out it feels like 90! Youre looking strait down and When it holds you for that 8 seconds (I counted) it feels like forever! Then, with no warning, it drops. You see the ground rushing toward your face, you try to scream, but your breath is gone. Then you reach the bottom and you finally scream. This is my favorite drop ride EVER! You gotta ride this thing!

Nothing Scarey About this One, Just Real Dumb. the only reason i give this a 7 is the view from the top of the park is Great. you drop just like any other Tower, but this one your looking at the ground. I Would of gave this a 10 is the ride spun a lot quicker and got you so dizzy than, Stoped and droped you to the ground.

One word comes to mind...Wow! This ride is intense. Being vertically challenged, I had to jump to get into the partial seat. The seats are awkward and made it impossible for me to sit back and relax. I believe that this adds to the ride experience. The awkwardness of the seats were just the beginning. Next I was being lifted up to the top while the seats begin to rotate around the tower so that I experienced a view from all angles. After reaching the top, the seats tilted so that I had no choice but to look at the ground. I was suspended up there long enough to contemplate the inevitable drop. Then it happened. Suddenly I was dropped and watched the ground come closer and closer in a matter of seconds. It seemed as if I came to a stop just before crashing into the ground. I had two feelings at the end of this ride. They were relief and a massive adrenaline rush.
