This ride is great! I love it when it flips into the flying position. Also, the vertical loop is really intense. This is one that you have
to ride if you are at the park. Get there early,
the line gets really long!
I really did love SFWOA, when I went it was very clean, and there were no lines and they had 2 great coasters and 2 very good coasters. This was my first flying coaster, my second was SUF @ SFGA and this was the worse of the two. I felt it pulled to many positive gs while in the flying position, and the harnesses werent very comfortable, but the loop and the horshoe proved to be spectacular.
This ride had some good elements to it, but all in all, it proved to be inferior to Superman: Ultimate Flight at SFOG.
Not near as fun as the Superman at SFOG, but it was good. Six Flags WoA needs to straighten up there act however. This park was dirty, no one was friendly and nice, and they didnt use the second train, probably because of sheer laziness. I wish you could rate the overall park, because they would get a 2. I saw dirty crap, mugs, cans scaterd throughout the park. There was even a pill of garbage around the ride operators station, just a nasty park. And half the ride rides werent open.
This was my first "flying" coaster ... bust sadly I was overall disappointed. The capacity was terrible (why they never used the 2nd train was beyond me, but I walked onto every other single coaster at the park HOWEVER, this one had an hour wait??? The ride itself is not an overly inspiring or intimidating layout and not overly creative, I felt. The positioning/flight style did give it an edge and unqiue ride, which is why this gets a "7" over a "4." The sit-down to recline concept was jsut a BAD design though. Outside of the discomfort and the lack of flgith feeling throughout the lift, the reclining variation does not lend itself to very secure/comfortable restraints. In fact, Im not a small man, and I couldve very easily removed myself from the restraints while in flight. That didnt sit well with me when I knew there would be younger riders on the ride as well.
This is one truely great ride! I loved it! It is a great ride, and you must ride it if you visit this park!
this was a great ride...i got to ride the front row which dosnt really make a difference since you are facing down...but i think it was a good ride beside the fact that i had to wait about an hour and the ride was a little short but it was alright considering it was only the 2nd type of flying coaster made at the time...definatly an improvement from stealth.
It could be a little bit longer and the ride ops could have at least try to make some kind of progress when operating.
This is a great coaster, but the long lines and bad (well, in SFs case good) ride operators. This ride though is a must ride at SFWoA!
Times ridden: 5+ ~ Ride experience: 10 ~ Layout: 10 ~ Thrill Factor: 10 ~ Landscaping: 8 ~ Evaluation: X-Flight is a revolutionary coaster which puts you in a "flying" position while going through five inversions and many turns and twists. For a Vekoma, the ride is very smooth and enjoyable. Be careful, lines tend to get very long, I recommend that visitors ride this first thing when the park opens since the capacity of this ride isnt that good and its one of the most popular rides at Geauga Lake.
