Talon is then best inverted coaster i have been on.You get some good air on the first drop if you sit townards the back. The ride is very smooth and long. The inversions are awesome and that little dip before the corkscrew gives some good air, also.A MUST RIDE AT DORNEY!!!!!

I would have to call this inverted coaster a hidden gem. Its overshadowed by Montu, Top Gun, Raptor, Alpengist, and a few others but in my opinion in can rank up there. Its in a very clean and not crowded park. Everytime that I visit Dorney Park I head straight to this for 4 or 5 rides. I wait no longer then 2 trains on average. The signs on the lift hill were very creative. I feel the drop was great but not all that intense until the loop and G-Roll. The immelman was extremely intense and one of my favorite parts. The ride then had some decent curves and turns which along with nice speed and great intensity makes it top notch. When you dip to the bottom it gets so intense that it feels like your picking up speed. The helix was my favorite part of the ride while my feet dangled close to the ground. Then you coast in with some good speed which finally slows you up to get back in the station. I felt the seating as an average invert. The colors were unique and it was at the beginning of the park so you do not have to take a long walk to get there. It deserves a very high rating. I think I will just knip it from a 10 because it is missing only a little of something. Never miss this ride at Dorney Park. Ride it 4 or 5 times at least.

This ride was awsome! definently best ride in the park. The Giant loop was awsome and then the part whenyou go soarin through that underground concrete part and into the imelman was easily the best part and i was just like wow! eventualy it slowed down and it seemed like it was gonna be over then u drop down and go through a turn and into that flat spin ( i think thats what it was called) and then sadly it had to come to an end. I just wish i was able to get on it more but we really wanted to get on everything else first. Hopefully i can make another visit to dorney soon to ride this awsome coaster!

Best invert Ive been on. Located at the front of the park, Talons mass of twisted orange track drew me in the second I entered the park. Lines were relatively short during my visits thanks to a two train operation and fairly quick loading. The lift hill was certainly creative with the comments beneath the train and the first drop was incredibly powerful in terms of the Gs. Following that were the most powerful vertical loop Ive ever experienced on an invert, followed by a great zero-G roll and then a really powerful immelman. Then came the second half which had tons of speedy turns, a rapid-fire corkscrew, and a bunny hill giving a great moment of air time that completely took me by surprise. Talon is just a relentless coaster throughout.

this is the best ride in the park(i didnt get on hydra yet). i love the first drop and 3 inversions. i also love the turn and straightaway before it goes into the corkscrew. since this and great bear are inverted coasters with 4 inversions. i think this one is better because of the out and back layout and the airtime

Talon is an amazingly smooth coaster, B&M does it again! This is not an imposing giant inverted coaster like the Alpengeist, but a more compact ride like Top Gun. Regardless this is one of the most smoothest rides youll ever have the privilege of riding. B&M mustve learned
something from the days of introducing inverted coasters with the half dozen Batman rides around the country. The pacing on this ride is ten fold better than say Batman at SFGADV where you feel like youre being thrown in a dryer and put on tumble, one quick inversion after the other. Its a solid ride all around but my favorite elements include a short quick drop thatll catch you off gaurd and an ultra-smooth in-line twist. Before people start asking, Talon doesnt get higher than a 8 because Im more of a fan of larger scale terrain style coasters. Still, a great ride! Final Rating - 8.5 (Great-Approaching Excellent)

Talon is an absolute beast of an invert, and just narrowly misses my top 10 coasters list. No doubt the best ride at Dorney. It does a good job combining big inversions and some great speed with a compact layout and powerful intensity. Kind of like a mixture between Montu and Batman:The Ride. The first drop is great for a looping coaster. The three rapid-fire inversions that follow are all great and the coaster makes great transitions between weightlessness on the peaks of the inversions and some strong positive Gs at the bottom. The immelman is great and even after riding three times I still got disoriented by the twist. People dont lie when they say Talon travels close to the ground. The coaster is practically silent and it really seems as if youre a bird of prey going down to grab something with your talons. Talon even has some airtime. The drop before the turn into the corkscrew will lift you up a little bit. That corkscrew is taken very fast and the last helix is intense, kind of like Raptors last element. Overall, Talon makes a great use of its compact space and gives an exciting and intense ride. However, the front seat is BY FAR the best seat. In any other seat this coaster is probably a 9, but the front is a 10. Make sure you ride in the front. This inconsistency keeps Talon out of my top 10, but it really is a great invert and in my opinion is better than other B+Ms like Dueling Dragons and Raptor.

From the first time I ever heard of it, I have always admired Talons unique layout and brilliant color scheme. I had the pleasure of riding this amazing invert 10 times two days ago. There are few rides out there that I cannot get enough of, and Talon is definitely one of them. First of all, the swooping drop is among the best on any invert, second only to Alpengeists monstrous first drop. The line-up of inversions is also one of my favorites, starting off with a vertical loop pulling some very solid gs, then the zero-g roll (which happens to be my favorite zero-g roll period) and then into a trench and up into a great Immelman inversion. What I found to be the rides strongest aspect is the relentless forces exerted on your body nonstop throughout the ride, unlike some other inverts which have their "breather" moments so that riders can catch their breath before resuming. You have no such luxury on Talon. It never lets up. In my mind it easily tops Alpengeist and Great Bear, but falls just short of the even more compact and relentless Top Gun: The Jet Coaster. Talon is simply an excellent ride and is definitely a B&M masterpiece.

UPDATE:

Oh how times have changed. Over the course of one year, I seem to have gathered a new set of standards for B&M inverts. This year, Talon failed to blow me away as it did last season. The elements seemed weak and not nearly as forceful as I wished they would be. The layout is fantastic of course, but the ride still just misses out of my Top 10

A very solid coaster, fun, exciting, but forgettable. I am a huge fan of inverted coasters and I would put this in the top five for its type, but nothing memorable about it. Doesnt compare to other great inverted coasters like "Alpengiest" at Busch Gardens.
