As many have said, it is easy to tell why this coaster put B&M on the map. It is slightly rough in a few parts, but overall it is definately one of the best coasters around, even if it is starting to show a few signs of age. BGT have kept this ride in shape very well, and it still has alot of intensity to give. The line was relatively short, and I rode it 4 times in about an hour. The front row is alot of fun, and the ride itself is very good looking. It is also famous in the enthusiast world, which gave it just a little more touch, if you know what I mean. Kumba is a great coaster, and with Montu give BGT one of the best coaster duos in the world.
Stunning to look at. Truly one of the best looking, best settings for a coaster. A nice combo of elements, but I have to drop my rating in reaction to the head banging the ride delivers. OTSR are never popular, but if you must have them, ensure the ride doesnt bobble your head between them on every element!
This ride has intensity, speed, and the ability to make you feel like you have no idea where you are and how you got there. The coaster has the best fast paced direcional changes of any coaster Ive been on. Its fun and has a cool tunnel section. It also uses its great landscaping to its advantage, making the ride seem more exciting.
After riding Kumba, it was easy to see why this coaster put B&M on the map. Being B&Ms first big coaster, it has more intensity than the average B&M, giving it the edge over rides like Medusa. I love the little imperfections in this ride that come from B&Ms inexperience, which give it those little extra jolts of Gs. The pacing is wonderful, and its very smooth thanks to a great job of maintaining the ride. Go to Tampa just for this; you will not be disappointed!
10 years old and still competively one of the best. Ranks ahead of Scream at Magic Mountain and
many other similar coasters because its well-built and has all of the essential elements of a
thrilling, smooth ride. Top-20 material.
my 2nd favorite coaster in the park.it has great inversions its smooth and it never has a long line.
This is the best ride at Busg Gardens. Lots of speed and cork screws. If u eveer get a chance to go to Bush Gardens go straight to the Kumba.
best ride at BGT, bar none..its over too soon though
smoooooooooth! low ride wait too!
This wuz the tightest sit-down looping coaster Ive ever been on! To be honest, I thought this wuz better than the raved about "Montu"! It wuz smooth and long! (Just how they should be!!) Great drop! I loved the 0-G roll! The only flaw I could find wuz that it wuz so fast that you really didnt have time take in wut wuz goin on! I mean I didnt even float but like a tenth of a second! Oh and a tip: Hold on during the 0-G roll and the corkscrews! It can get a bit jerky but just a little, other than that it seemed silky smooth! Also if you sit on the far left edge it feels like your gonna fall off the track on the drop which is pretty high! It only made it funner for me!!! Overall KUMBA ROCKS!
