This ride is one that I ride everytime I go to MGM Studios. It has fun facts, priceless items from classic movies, and has neat demonstrations. Like the Pearl Harbour Movie, that was really cool, how they made people stars in seconds! And when your walking to the trains, how they show you previews of upcomming movies and EVERY prop you could imagine is displayed! Then the ride is great, with fun facts and cool view of the costume designer warehouse, then you get to catastrophy canyon, the gem of the ride. Water thrown at you, trucks tipping over and fire all create a pretty scary expirience for the little ones. HINT: If youd love to get some water on you (in a mist) and feel the heat, sit on the left side of the tram. Also, I heard if you get to the rde 15 minutes before they allow the next group in, they ask you if you want to take part in the Pearl Harbour act!

Decent tour ride. Not as much of a "ride" element as Universals tour, but there are some interesting Hollywood props. I loved seeing the spaceship from Flight of the Navigator. I wouldnt go on it again though unless I needed a chance to sit down and rest.

I enjoy this ride. Castrophe Canyon makes this ride well worth it. Seeing all of the behind the scenes areas is my favorite thing to do at theme parks, so this ride rocks for allowing me to do that.

I really liked this ride, they could have had more for people to see but ohh well. I loved the whole Chatastrophe Canyon! that was sooo awesome, the water really looked like it was gunna hit you, and the fire was really hot. Nice job disney fit the park perfectly.

This was a pretty cool "hands-on" demonstration, but it is a little predictable. The Pearl Harbor bit was nice, and I loved the Canyon scene, but it was a little predictable. It gets a 7 instead of say a 4 or 5 because the Canyon scene throws A LOT of water at you, plus, the flames are pretty cool. The Backlot tour is still one of my favorite tours, much more exciting than "The Magic of Disney Animation" or other similar attractions. The effects were great and the storylines were pretty good.

Everytime I ride this it just seems a little worse. A lot of rides I dont believe should change, but this one needs something different. Last time I rode I did get to be an actor, but I had noone with me to tape it, so I wasnt able to show people my dramatic scene. Although I did look killer in the raincoat and hat. I was the first in my family to be an extra but have since had two more family members make their acting debut here.

Nothing compared to Universals. The ride is not too unique but still entertaining. The tour is mostly educational and kinda boring. Catastrophe Canyon was the best part. It reminds me of Earthquake at Universal Studios Orlando. Fun if have time but Disney World has plenty of other rides to wait in line for.

Carastrophe Canyon is the highlight of this ride. Your tram rides in and there is then lots of explosions and fire and water dumped on you. All that good stuff. It is very much like the Earthquake ride at Universal Studios.
Seeing the old boneyard props is cool too, but passing by some empty soundstages/costume shops and house facades (no longer there) isnt something that I find that interesting. I wonder what the future of this ride is since they ripped out all of residental street to build their new stunt show.

this is a very well done ride. There is just one thing that pisses me off and it is the fact that you have to always wait, (at least evrytime ive been on it) for the cars up ahead to move. another thing is the fact that the cars are open so it is hot, but i guess the carastrophe canyon wouldnt be as good i guess, so i cant complain about that.
