This by far is the best safari ride around. I absolutely love it. It is truly a marval in zoo exhibitry and has unbelievable barriers. Being an old zoo employee and a lover of zoo designs I truely am amazed by this ride. It is beautiful. The last time I was on it we were the first ones on and had to wait for a family of Rhinos to cross our path. We also were close enough to touch a Bongo. There breeding of animals is so sucessful. I saw at least 3 babies on my last trip. That in itself tells you what a wonderful exhibit that is. The only thing that is somewhat disappointing is the story line. The only reason that is disappointing is becuase really it is hard to follow because you are so caught up in the surrounding you forget to pay attention.

This ride would easily get a 10 if it did not have to follow a stupid story. putting the dialogue and story behind, you will get closer to these animals than you ever thought possible. On my ride a giraffe walked up right next to me, if I reached my hand out I may have been able to touch it!(though I wouldnt want to disturb these animals in their natural environment). Make sure you bring a camera, there will be dozens of opurtunities to use it.

What is there to say about this ride other than WOW. This brings rides to a whole new level, as it is heart pounding and calm and amazing at the same time. You first travel through a long, windy que with some themeing, but not alot. In the que you learn the premise of the ride: poachers are a threat to the wildlife, killing many animals for money and greed. Then you enter your car to begin the ride. Now this is where this ride is special. There are no tracks! You are riding in a full fledged safari truck with and actual driver driving you! You the start your voyage, looking at alot, and I mean ALOT, of animals, from giraffe to lions to hippos. Along the way you hear reports that Little Red, a baby elephant and child of Big Red, is missing, and you must keep an eye out for her. You then continue on with the voyage (some surprises on the way), then all of a sudden you learn that there are poachers on the loose, and theyve stolen Little Red! Its time to act as you and your safari team go out on a high speed chase and go after the poachers. Then all is well as Little and Big Red are united, the poachers caught, and you are congradulated for your job. Thus concludes the ride. The most interesting thing of the ride, besides the animals being free to roam as close to the car as they wish, is having a real driver bring you along the route. It really adds something to the whole expirience. This is a ride recommended for all ages, for its fun and unique expiriences. There is nothing quite like this ride anywhere else.

The best family attraction at Animal Kingdom and Possibly at Walt Disney World. Every time I ride I see different animals. It depends on when you ride. It dosent make you sick, you dont get nausea so that gives it a 9 with the animals pushing it to a 10. It really is perfect. Disney finally made a thrilling attraction for the whole family.

You have to ride this right when the park opens. All the animals were up and moving. We had to wait for a family of rhinos to move. They were right in front of us. So many animals and so close. Disney got this ride right.

A very fun and unique ride. You get up very close with animals and such. Sometimes, one type of animal will get very close and you can almost touch it. Along the way are a few rickety bridges over crocodiles. The story that takes place at the end of this ride (poachers) makes it much more interesting in addition to looking at fascinating animals on a realistsic African plain. Make sure you do this ride while at Disney and have a camera ready.

It is difficult to rate this attraction because it depends entirely on your "tour guide." Ive had boring tour guides that didnt get into the storyline at all, and it wasnt too entertaining. Its good to see the animals and its a nice, long ride. During the day though it gets packed, everyone in Animal Kingdom flocks to this.

I enjoyed this ride a lot. The animals were fascinating. I waited a half hour which was not so bad for this ride. The Poacher thing was cool. The most amazing part of my expierience was when an elephant crossed the rode. I think this is an excellent ride and a must for everyone in your family.

This ride sums up what animal kingdom is all about. I have ridden this a couple of times and it is definitely better on the cooler days. Also if you get an enthusiastic driver it makes the ride that much better.

The best time to catch it is when park is about to close. It is when animals are about to be fed so they are all active. This advise is by animal-care expert from Animal Kingdom. Personally I had the most amazing experience among that period of time. It is simply the beauty and wildness of nature. A thrill that silly coasters can NEVER provide.
