Nice launch, especially if in the front seats. My eyes were watering after a few seconds.
If MGM could get 2 more rides like this one and the Tower of Terror,it would make MGM the place to be.

Oh yeah! A roller coaster and Aerosmith blasting on the speakers. HEAVEN!! A GREAT rollercoaster on top of that, and you have a great ride!

Great launch. It seems Vekoma steps it up a bit when Disney signs the checks.

This being my first full-circut launch coaster, I thought it was outragusly cool! The themeing was spectacular and the indoor effect was great too.

Im one of the few that likes Vekoma and this is one of their coasters that really shows what they can pull off. Of course Disney heavily themed this which made it much better. The launch is good, not as good as B&R:tC at SFGAdv but its still good, especially with the sign that gets you psyched up before the launch. The music with a coaster was great even though I dont like Aerosmith that much. The ride itself was real cool with an awesome rollover maneuver to start off. I liked going past and through all the scenery which pushed up its rating. The only thing I didnt like were the flat brake runs that were put into the ride, they seem to kill the pacing. The first one I can see but there was a second thrown in there that just kills the good pacing. I like the pre-show too, its very creative.

A pretty good roller coaster. If it was outside and didnt have the theming this one would absolutely suck though. However, the experience you get on this ride with Aerosmith blasting in your ear is certainly a unique one. The launch is the only thrilling part of the ride though. Very well done theming. Good enough to get it an 8. MGM is becoming Disneys best ride park.

Far from the wildest, best roller coaster in Orlando, but an awesome ride. Typical Disney attention to detail for the theme, down to the HUGE Fender Stratocaster out front. Loved the ride trains and the soundtrack was awesome. About the 10th time I rode it I wished there was a way to bypass the recording studio and get right on the ride, but that was more my longing to ride than the quality of the themeing. Check out the license plates on the trains. Disney could improve the quality of the signs featured in the ride as they look a little cheap. The ride fizzles at the end but just gives you a chance to catch your breath before deparing. Love the electromagnetic propulsion system used at the start, its smooth yet strong.

The first half of this ride was stokeworthy. The launch into the first two elements are awesome, and theres no denying that the sound of Aerosmith pouring from the speakers in the train add a special something to that ride. That being said right after the first block brake the ride just really meanders around trying to get back to the station. Still all the extra elements on this ride make it a joy to ride. I probably chalked up ten or so rides during my day at MGM (short lines)

The ride itself is just ok, not unlike something you would find at Six Flags (they actually have a clone over in Holland: Superman: The Ride), but once again its the Disney theming that sets this one apart from the others. The launch is nice, and seems faster because you are in the dark. The music makes the ride more of an adrenaline rush as well, and so does watching trains launch while you are in line. However, the process you must go through to get to the ride is horrendous, especially for repeat riders. They should have a special door that allows you to skip the preshow and get straight to the ride if youve ridden it before. ALWAYS GET A FASTPASS FOR THIS RIDE!! The wait in line is usually hot, sticky, and gets a person very frustrated. Just get the fastpass and save yourself the blood pressure.

This is one killer coaster. The drawbacks are as follows: Long lines, short ride, not very "Disney" once again, and not that much reride value. For the 3 seconds that you actually get to ride, your brains will be going into your feet. If the lines not too long, the weather isnt too hot, and youre just burnt out on the Tower - this is the ride for you.

The fact that its indoor is also a nice little bonus.

Extreme thrill seekers should feel adaquately satisfied.
