While this is not the best ride at MGM its in the top 5. The theme of the attraction is ridiculous. Your going to an Aerosmith concert and you want to get there fast? Talk about a script thrown together. Anyways, the roller coaster is good, the center of the thrill revolves around the first 2 seconds of the ride. From where you go from zero to 60 mph. Thats fun but think about how insane it is? Only ride this attraction if you are young and in good health. You could easily die on this ride. I&#39.m not joking either.

Date Ridden: 1-1-2008 Times RIdden - Once in the back seat. Hmmmmm.....this ride seems to receive either outstanding reviews or poor reviews so Ill try to shed a little light on why I think its pretty good. First, the launch is excellent. I prefer the back part of the train (limo in this instance) on launched coasters because to me it makes the launch seem longer and faster. The launch compares favorable to that of the Flight of Fear rides at KD and KI in that you are blasted into darkness. Entering the trains and beginning the ride builds up a great deal of anticipation for what is a very good launch. The ride itself is solid with only a few cases of minor head or ear banging. I once again used what I call "The Turtle Method" to avoid getting my ears bashed too badly. The ride theme is excellent, the soundtrack is outstanding (if you like Aerosmith obviously....the song I heard on my ride was Dude Looks Like a Lady) and the entire experience is a pleasurable one. I felt the pre-show was lacking as the band performs much better as musicians than they do as actors. However, at least there is an attempt made to theme the ride and it does rate as well above average. Ill give this an 8 but I do not think it is on par with Everest or California Screamin. It is more of a 7.5 type of ride but Ill go with an 8. Make sure to get your fast pass or make use of the single rider line. With this ride being close to Tower of Terror it is easy to knock off both of these attractions at once. I would recommend getting your fast pass for this ride (the wait is usually longer here) and then riding TOT which I think is better anyway. Just a suggestion that we found worked well. Thanks for reading....Im headed back to Orlando/Tampa to visit Busch, IOA and Sea World over MLK weekend. I should have some reviews of those rides with hopefully a review of what I think is the best woodie in Florida. And I also have a big review to write up later on concerning a superb theme park attraction. I need some time for it though......

The ride is a steel coaster with a good amounts of interversions. You are apparently met up with Aerosmith to go to a concert and are invited. They cant bring you in their limo, so they order an extra, extra, extra large limo. Their limo arrives and they leave and you go into a second line to get in your limo. After a good 5-10 minutes, you get in your car. There are speakers on your seat making you listen to some music. You take a turn and you go into a launch station. You hear a guy in the speakers count down 5-4-3-2-1-YYYEEEAAAHHH!!! And you see a sign that says that all roadways in LA are congested and there is just about no way to get through the jams. During the count down, they display the 5-4-3-2-1-YYYEEEAAAHHH!!! Once you launch, scream for the on-ride photo and be engulfed by darkness while having music blasted through the speakers (not that loud...just loud enough for you to hear over screaming and wind) and you get thrown into a loop and start getting into a bunch of turns that go through and visit famous Calafornia land marks (highway signs, HOLLYWOOD sign, etc.). Then you go through two corkscrews in a row and go through more turns. One more corkscrew marks the end of the interversions. But you are still going. You then go into a tunnel full of blacklights and slow down to a stop in a block-break area. Once the riders in front of you unboard, you move up to the station to what looks like a red carpet. There are moniters in front of you showing the concert that you were late to due to the congested highways and you exit into the gift shop. There you can see an on-ride photo. I give it a 9 because the launch couldve been a little faster and more unexpected. Other than that, an excellent launched steel roller coaster.

I expected a far better ride than I got. The theming (especially the giant guitar) and preshow were excellent, but the ride was lackluster. The launch was good and forceful and the music was a great touch, but the ride itself was pretty dull. The loops were forceless and the second half was slow and really boring. Also, there was some headbanging during the ride as well.

This ride is awesome. First you meet the band and then they put you on your limo to go to there concert. Then after the ride you are finished the ride you are on the red carpet going backstage. This is just a great ride.
