I think this is a decent older woodie. I am a huge fan of wooden rides and I really appriciate the layout of this ride. I like that it takes you close to the lake. There is a lack of airtime, but it is still outright fun. I like the fact that this is what you see when you walk in.

Great speed, good air, great use of space. Only wish that you could wait for a specific seat instead of "filling the train" and not waiting for specific seats. Oh well... walk ons most for most of my rides meant that I only had chose a seat other than the first for 2 of my 6 rides.

Hoosier Hurricane is a wood roller coaster. It was built in 1994 by CCI it was designed by Larry Bill/Mike Boodley. It is 97' tall, it is 3,000' long. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.

an excellent out and back, great setting over the water, decent air time with a surprising violent jolt or two to the side.

A great out and back. The speed never let up and there was some good air all around. It was also interesting going over and under the boardwalk, and so close to some of the other rides. The only bad part about this ride is it takes forever to climb the stairs to ride again.

A great woody. The first hill is pretty good and the view on this ride is just great. You get some good air on this ride and the ride is fast. IB has two great woodin rollercoasters.

Flat out just a fun ride. Airtime would help also Ive never ridden it at night, but the view is fantastic. A ride that seems to be fun for all age groups. Living in Indiana my whole life I find it amazing how many good coasters are in this state considering we have no huge theme parks. Edit just got back and i have to rewrite this review. APPEARANCE-10 The view along the lake the wait it dominates the park and the way the sound helps give the park a better feel all contribute to a ten. CAPACITY-8 One train, however IB usually does not have big lines but on a busy day this could be a haul. RIDE QUALITY-8 Fast smooth but all the parts that should have air dont. I cant figure that out. FUN-9 Good and fast, the view is fantastic and the ride is aging well. RERIDE-10 A must for the beach. OVERALL-45 AVG 9.0 A solid coaster especially here. Would score less at a park where the whole ride wasnt over water. If the spots that should have air did have air it would be a ten.

It was a great ride. I love that it goes all around the park. I ride it every year. One of the best times to ride it is after dark its really cool!

It is better than I expected it to be, but still not a top 10 woodie by any means. It has some moments of air to speak of and the scenary is probably the biggest factor working for it as it goes down to one side of the park and back over Lake Shafer.

its really fast and gos around the whole park and comes close too hitting the lake it could have better airtime but the fast crazyness makes up for it.did i mension its really loud.
