It was OK at best. Not being a fan of motion simulators my rating could be a little biased. Being shaken around while staring at a big screen isnt my idea of a great ride. The most enjoyable part of this ride was being "blasted" off into light-speed. That effect was pretty fun and really the only memorable moment of this ride. The outdoor theming was also pretty good and detailed (Im not a big Star Wars fan so I dont know how accurate it was). If there is a long wait for this ride though, I would not recomend it.

I dont remeber the main robot in any movies. I thought they tryed way to hard for humor not for a great ride. I think they need to get that robot out of there and put some one or something that was in a movie.

Star Wars will always be regarded as one of the best all-time film franchises out there thanks to the top-notch action and impressive special effects. It’s only fitting that a theme park attraction be based upon the epic space travel included in Star Wars since there should be a great opportunity for some epic maneuvers and action-packed scenes. While Star Tours offers flashes of greatness, the ride just doesn’t compare very favorably to newer motion simulators.

The experience begins with something Disney does very well, an elaborately well themed queue line. Standing at the entrance is a massive and impressive looking Imperial Walker, followed by a wait inside a very well themed building. Disney did a great job immersing in the whole plot of the ride and they successfully made the queue seem just like a futuristic airport, complete with flight information. Also, the gigantic starcraft during the wait is also certainly impressive in its own rite. I can’t really comment on the average wait for this attraction since I have seen waits as little as 5 minutes and waits close to 45 minutes. It really depends on the time of day so using a fastpass might be a good idea.

Upon making it through the spaceship terminal (queue), I boarded one of the multiple simulators and buckled up. The seats are very comfortable and all of the seats provide an equal view, but however I dislike how there aren’t any handholds or anything like that since the ride is quite jerky and they definitely would have been helpful. Riders initially think that they are in for a relaxing cruise to the Ewok-infested planet of Endor, only to be introduced to the pilot, a novice who’s just about to depart on his first flight.

Unfortunately the ride is really starting to show its age. While the movements are generally very well coordinated with the film throughout, some just felt excessively jerky in my opinion, especially since there were not handholds at all. If there were handholds it wouldn’t be nearly as much of a complaint. Anyway, the visuals unfortunately are showing their age, seemingly blurry at points and just really in need of an update. But other than that the attraction is decent, with some great action sequences, but they just aren’t executed as well as I had hoped for thanks to the jerkiness and film quality.

While entertaining at points, Star Tours really comes across as a mixed-bag in my opinion. I like the whole premise of the attraction and the action sequences chosen, but the age of the attraction certainly hinders this attraction. As stated in my review, the visuals are really poor by today’s standards and the movements just seemed a tad jerkier than I remember on my past rides in 1998 and 2000. Still, Star Tours is worth experiencing, especially for a Star Wars fan since it’s faithful to the franchise. Hopefully the rumor that Disney will update the attraction in the next few years is true since that would definitely make this attraction so much better.

This is a fun ride, and the theming is especially amusing if you are a fan of the Star Wars world. Although this ride could use some updates, its still a fun simulator.

I think this ride is relatively fun, it has some decent theming from the exterior to the queue line all the way until the exit. The ride itself is a classic, so ya gotta a love it. They make the animatronic pilot sound a little too loud.

yeah, this ride may be a little outdated, but i thought it was pretty cool. of course, that could have been because me and my friend were going crazy the whole time, but ok.

The ride has potential and was good for its time, you cant kill a Star Wars ride though, but maybe redo it.

This was a great simulator ride. It also has good que line scenery for a Star Wars fan which I am. The gift shop needs more stuff in it.
