This ride is plain useless. First of all, it´s over in about three seconds. To top it off, it´s just boring - its much like a kick in the butt followed by a belt pushing you down. There is no thrill involved, and I felt that I should rather get a life than ride this thing.
It was a good ride. I liked the view at the top. Getting blasted up was neat. But I still dont get why they needed those shields.
Its fun. But after Supreme Scream its weak. The tower doesnt look tall at all. And it launches you instead of slowly taking you up. I like being slowly taken up. It makes us intense to be taken up slowly. But Good anyway.
This ride was great. I like how you get some airtime when you reach the top.
Good space shot. Whats with the plastic face guards?
good but not great but its nice cuz there no wait
This was my first ever "space-shot" ride and I was really impressed. The theming is pretty good, I think its supposed to be like one of those things like they have at the Boardwalk where you have the hammer and you try to pound the thing as hard as you can. This is an excellent ride. -Eric, clix.to/coasterzone
Good ride, nothing great. A seven is about what I give all these rides. They are basically the same
. The theming is bad, but for something like this you dont need it. It would have gotten a better score if the Imagineers could have incorperated some decent theming into it. O well...I guess thats what to expect when you have budget cuts...
The Maliboomer probably provides the highest thrill that you will find at DCA. It is however a Disney thrill. Its about a180 foot plunge as compared to the 254-foot plunge of Supreme Scream at Knotts Berry Farm, located a few miles up I-5 from Disney. It also doesnt leave you hanging at the top for 6 seconds like most others do which tends to freak out some first time riders. Also, unlike some of the others, which hoist you up to the top very slowly, this thing shoots up with a burst of compressed air, leaves you floating in your seat for about a second and drops you back to earth. As for the dreaded scream shields: Since Disney tries to be a good neighbor, the scream shields are there to comply with the citys nighttime noise abatement regulations. As is the case with the tunnels on California Screamin. However the scream shields are positioned far enough away from you that they really are not obnoxious. In fact, most of the people that I spoke with in the line didnt even realize that was their purpose. Most people thought they were some kind of windshield to keep the wind or bugs out of your face. Maybe Disney should have called them windshields instead of scream shields and people wouldnt be so annoyed by them. Overall, this is a good ride. Its not the most thrilling of the S&S turbo towers but its still lots of fun. Even if you have acrophobia, you should be okay on this ride.
The ride is great though I find it never as amusing as the first time. I think that shaking the first time made me like it more. The scream shields are something that I would like to see go.
