Really cool acceleration. Unike the rides that pick you up slowly, you cant really feel the weightlessness when youre falling. Kind of dissapointed by that. The view of the parks and the resort is awesome. The barf sheild (that is the only thing i could think of that it would be good for) made me mad though. I felt like i was encapsulated and i also couldnt hear my family.
Overall a good ride.
Short wait, one of the only places I saw 0 Minutes wait.
When you blast off, trust me its not scary. I saw some people closing their eyes even before the ride, and its not that scary. When you go up, its over in 1 seconds.Doesnt feel like anything. when you come down, you go down about half way in 2-3 seconds. That really grips your guts. Feels like a thorny butterflies in your stomach. Then it slowly takes you down
I loved this ride. Rode it 3 times. There was no wait, as always, so we got on the ride in no time. Waiting for the launch is horrible, b/c you just sit there, hearing the clicks of the tower and knowing whats coming. But then it shoots you off, and all your fears leave you. It has a great view at the top, and even better airtime. The drops are fun, and although they dont really give me butterflies, which is really exciting, they are still alot of fun. Great ride.
While not as scary as Knotts Berry Farms Supreme Scream Maliboomer offers its own
style of thrill. Maliboomer shoots you up the tower at high speeds unlike letting you fall
down the tower. You never know for sure when Maliboomer will shoot in to complete
and utter terror. From a distance Maliboomer takes on another view. The tower and ride
were constructed to look and act like on of those games at the carnivals or board walks.
This game you would take a large hammer and smash a pad which sent a ball or something
like that up a tower. The object was to hit and ring the bell at the top of the tower.
Maliboomer acts the same way. When the car gets to the top of the tower a bell is heard
done at the bottom of the tower. This ride offers a great view of DCA and the Disney
Hotels. I only recommend this ride for people who are not scared of height or sudden
execration. If you can tolerate both of these elements this ride will be one that you will
enjoy.
It was fun, but ive been on way better. It was still fun to watch it go up.
I think those things should be called puke shields, not scream shields! I think that would be more understandable. But I really loved this ride. Usually rollar coasters are exciting and a little scary, nothing I cant handle, but this one had me on the verge of passing out with terror. Well, almost. The suspense was definitely killing me, and it was horrible to just sit there and wait, not sure when I would get shot into the air but knowing it was going to be fun/terrifying. The shot upwards is so fast you dont realize youve gone until youre at the top! Definitely one of my favorite rides. You know its a good one if you really cant imagine living through it.
Good fun ride with some airtime, but they have these plastic guards in front of you which I personally found annoying- especially as someone spat in one and they had to delay the ride while some dude cleaned it off. Other than that, its good!
Great space shot ride. The airtime is great too.
This is a good ride. It is a nice little addition to Paradise Pier. It is tall than other verts like space shot(Hunstville) and DDFF(Islands of Adventure). It is fun if you want a good thrill but do not want to stand in a long line.
It looks much more intimidating than Supreme Scream but just isnt as good. I realized the anticipation of going up is the best part. While the launch is nice, it just ends the ride too quickly. That voice gets on my nerves too, the one that says "Welcome to the Maliboomer" in that California surfer tone. The ride was fun though. Ill give it a 7.
