The Zoom Phloom is an average Log Flume ride... nothing exciting here
It is by far the best flume I have been on EVER
One of the best log flumes Ive been on. The ride is long, the drops are STEEP, the splash is big, the under"ground" part is neat. The section after the second lift to the final drop is a rapid and fast run.
I must admit my bias upfront...I helped build this ride. As a college student who worked on the pier the previous two summers, I was awarded the option of becoming a head operator of the new Zoom Phloom, for a price. That price was to give up my weekends throughout the winter and spring doing "gopher" work and light construction on the ride. I have war stories of the construction and early operation but Ill spare them as all of the kinks have long been worked out. This was a custom job all the way and a complicated one at that. It was designed to take advantage of the existing rides, the pier, and the incredible views that it offers. As others have stated it features two exhilerating drops and a leasurely run under the boardwalk (hey, just like the song!) Ive riden the Zoom Phloom dozens upon dozens of times (free tickets dont hurt) and still get a thrill out of riding it.
This is definitly the best flume ride besides Splash Mountain. First, you go down one big drop. Then you go under the pier down a jungle themed river. Finally, you go go back up to the top, and do the second and best drop. A very nice flume and is not to be missed!
This is the best log flume ever! I think it even beats out Spash Mountain in Disney! (my opinion) Its long, fast, and steep. Its actually the only log flume that makes my stomach drop (and most coasters dont do that to me!) 10 out of 10 all the way! EDIT: For the first time since Ive been riding this, the log I was in went past the Great Nor Easters "Sidewinder Loop" (which is not more than 6 feet away from Zoom Phloom) while the train was going through it. AWESOME!
this is my favorite log flume because of how this flume was designed undergound, 2 waterfalls, comes close to the great noreaster and gets u soaked , what a log flume is supposed to do
This is one of the best log flumes in the USA. There are two drops, an under-the-boardwalk tunnel and close encounters with outer rides on the pier. You start with in your "log" where you proceed to the lift hill. You go through a few turns and if youre lucky enough, have a car from the "Great NorEaster" ride pass by. You then drop into a tunnel that has a mini-waterfall(which drenched me once) and an operator who controls the numbers of cars on the second lift hill. When you are lifted up, you you go through another series of turns at a faster speed and drop at a steeper, higher hill. The ride ends after an arching waterfall and a small lift at the station. 10/10 Great for a hot day or if you need to burn tickets at Moreys. I rode it 3 times in 5 days. The ride costs 6 tickets.
FANTASTIC FLUME! BEST WATER RIDE IVE RIDEN, VERY LONG AND GOES UNDERGROUND A MUST-RIDE!
a fun log flume! the two drops are pretty steep and the second one is bigger than the first. youll deffinitely get wet! it even goes fast around the bends and turns and everything at the top of the ride. this ride is very enjoyable!
