This is one of the best wooden coasters ive ridden! The articulated trains make you feel free. The drop was steep and long, and I didnt expect the other drop after the first one. The ride is awesome, and it is long. Overall, my favorite ride at the park!

PTC trains should definitely be put on this coaster. This ride is awesome all the same, though. St. Louis finally gets a great coaster. The wait was long when we went there, but that is okay because you get to see the helix at the beginning of the queue and you go over the go kart track at the end, so you at least have something to watch. But man, is this track sweet. Very long, very fast, and very fun. Great air, and even better laterals on this 65 mph monster. Just awesome size, featured with a lack of trims on the drop (for now) make this ride the reason to go to Six Flags St. Louis. Too bad if they got some real trains this would really be a top rollercoaster.

My ride experience was something like BigJohnWCs but backwards. I rode it early in the day in the front seat and thought "Wow! That was a great, long, fast ride."
Later that afternoon I wanted to give it another go, well of course the queue was a bit longer (out over the go carts) so by the time I got into the station I just headed to the shortest line, which just happened to be the last seat (big mistake). Well, through the entire course of the ride, I was probably thinking:
"AGH! My back!"
"No! Please! Not another drop!"
"There goes the spine, Im really gonna miss it"
"Please God not the helix!"
This ride convinced me that Im not the biggest fan of CCI. PTC trains should be a very high priority for this ride.

This ride is quite rough, but its also long and has lots of large drops. The wait isnt too bad, and you should give it at least one ride. The layout is great, if only they could make it a bit smoother. Overall, a great ride with fair execution.

since I live in St louis, Ive been going to Six Flags my whole life, over the years, the park has deteriorated badly, including the rides, The Boss was an excellent addition to the park!
its fast, sneaks some steep hills in on you, a great double helix at the end of the ride, The Boss is destined to become a classic like its older brother The Screamin Eagle..

Ill be honest, when I first rode this coaster around 1130 in the morning (local time), I was sorely dissapointed. Rode it in the back seat and I was just left in pain and feeling very bad after the ride (and Im someone who likes to get my *ss kicked on wooden coasters). I pretty much summed up the problems with the ride in the words "lack of PTC trains." However, later in the day I decided to give it another go or two. Grabbed a couple more rides, including one in the front seat, and it was a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT RIDE and one of the best ones Ive ever had. The front seat ride was phenomenal, my friend was terrified for half the ride (which is a rarity anymore with most coasters), and I got off feeling as though this was truly one of the greatest woodies Ive ever encountered. Great speeds, nice terrain, couple shots of airtime, and lots of surprises add up to a very good wooden coaster. Lacks the overall power/presence of THE BEAST or the unlimited airtime of coasters like THE CORNBALL EXPRESS or THE RAVEN, but this is a very very very very solid ride. This is definitely on my TOP 5 list of wooden roller coasters.

Its a terrific ride but the walk to get there gets kind of tiring but it is definately worth the wait!

Simply put, A combination of THE BEAST and SHIVERING TIMBERS AND THE LEGEND!

More detail: The first sequence of this ride is the most thrilling and out of control of any ride I have ridden. The remainder of the ride is filled with huge drops and airtime filled turns. Ended by a adiquate but not overly forceful helix and you have what could be a perfect woodie.
The wooded setting doesnt hurt either

This ride had a great couple of drops, the airtime was pretty good but it didnt have many little hills to make the airtime great, the ride was a little rough but that was ok. I didnt really enjoy the helix at the end either. Its not one of the better wooden coasters ive been on.
