I enjoyed this ride. It had soo much airtime because there is hardly anything holding you in! I waited a long time for this ride and its not worth more than a 30 minute wait.
While Blue Streak has made magical improvements over the off season, Big Dipper continues to become more and more rough over the years. I really wish Six Flags would take care of this ride since it is the oldest woodie in their collection I believe. Before Ive received a ton of airtime, but there was almost none on my last visit and a roughness that would challenge Raging Wolf Bobs. In the past this has been excellent, so Im still leaving it in about the middle where it was. Next time if it continues this trend, I might have to push it down more though. I hope I can kick it up to an 8 or 9 though.
Im a fan of airtime and woodies. And this thing goes uP AND DOwn. Alot. I dont get why people see roller coasters with 9,000,000 foot hills are the only good ones. Beginners can ride it too. And you should ride it no matter what.
What a great, fun ride. Next to all of the new-fangled steel coasters and the giant wood coasters being built, it would appear at a glance to be a ride ready to be junked to make room for something better. But I hope they never do. The air time is some of the best of any coaster Ive ever been on. Simply a fun ride.
BIG AIRTIME is the centerpiece of this ride, which is true to John Miller. There was so much ! found myself standing up on one of the hills! This could be from the lack of lap bars! This restraints is a bar but its really only there to hold on to . Theres almost no body support. Cool! Makes it even better! Great classic!
A true classic by John Miller. The ride itself looks boring and tiny, but let me tell you, the airtime on this thing is crazy!
Its name is the big dipper, and it isnt lying! Great airtime, pretty long, and constant drops means constant airtime. It never lost much speed, another plus. The only downer for me is that its trains were too small for tall people like myself. Past that, a classic woody.
Two words: AIRTIME MACHINE! I loved this ride as it provided so much awesome airtime. Man this coaster is sooo good.
This is a good wood ride. Its nice and old, giving it some class.
This ride is a classic. Very fun, plenty of air time, and it goes through some very nice scenery. First rollercoaster I ever rode, too.
