Not as tall as Wicked Twister and lacks the spiral on both towers as others have said. I rode in the front row but didnt even notice the holding brake. Still a very fun, exhillarating ride.
I rode this when it was Superman Ultimate Escape. It is a nice, intense, launching coaster. I guess I should have ranked this before I rode Wicked Twister. I would have ranked it a 9, but I couldnt b/c it doesnt have twin spiraling towers. It is still high on thrills in my book. The cycle time was pretty short, but most of the people that rode it that day seemed to enjoy it quite a bit, nevertheless. I recommend ridding this one as a starter before tackling the daddy, Wicked Twister.
I thought this was a really good ride. The pause up the last spike made it that much better, especially since I had no idea it was coming. Definately worth a few re-rides.
This ride is really fun, the front and back spikes are incredible, and the holding brake is awesome.
Everytime I came to Geauga Lake this ride was closed. Finally I rode it and I must say BRAVO!!!
This ride is probaly one of the best at Geauga Lake
A very fun ride. Identical to Vertical Velocity, which I also enjoy.
Best ride in the park. I like its larger cousin at Cedar Point (Wicked Twister) better but this one is different. Unlike WT, this ride is a front seater. The holding brake on the back spike adds an interesting thrill into the mix but it wasnt as great as I thought it might be. Still a very solid ride though
A awesome ride at a good park. I hope cedar point does some good things to it like six flags did. The ride it self is worth riding twice a visit.
Steel Venom (formerly known as Superman Ultimate Escape) is the only coaster that truly scared me before I rode it. I actually had to take a moment to compose myself before riding because the swaying of the towers spooked me so much. However, I had no idea how great this ride actually was. The highlight of the ride without a doubt is the holding brake on the second trip up the back tower which still pulses a pretty heavy dose of adrenaline through me every time I ride it. It is also really cool to feel the train get faster every time it passes through the station, something you dont feel on a typical shuttle coaster. Best ride at Geauga Lake in my opinion.
Actually, its called Steel Venom now. Its so much fun and the takeoff is intense. The best part of this ride that seperates it from others like it (like the wicked twister@cp)is that they stop you for a few seconds at the top and you fall forward in your seat, its so much fun.
