Excellent ride. This thing is what Wooden coasters are all about. FAST, steep, savage, disorienting, scary, relentless. THe first driop has been mutilated twice now, once because of a lawsuit filed by a non believer and the second time by six flage for evil puropses only they know. Anyway this ride is so good even such butchery actually improved it making it faster than ever. If you want smooth, ride the carousel. You want comrfort? Go someplace else. This is an earlu Billy Cobb masterpiece. You want to be scared, thrilled? Hop in and find out why 54" is justified. Best experienced in the dark. We got on it after a 15 minute rain and it was haulin the mail. Not recommended if your idea of heaven is made by B&M. This ride has the most uncomfortable, rattling plastic piece of crap cars Ive ever ridden, but it makes th epackage all the more complete. (Hint get in the same car as a fat person, the lap bars are linked fornt and back seat, this way youll get some moving room LOL.)

From the distance it looked like it was kind of slow and dull. WRONG! This thing scared the "you know what" out of me, only the way a wood coaster can.

This is a great classic wooden coaster. It also has a short queue most of the time.

the most surprising part of my day. I thought the re tracking would destroy it...but it IMPROVED it. It is now smooth [the first drop] and faster although not as long , and not as steep. Whats up with that bump? anyway almost as good as superman.

I have been riding the Cyclone since its opening week. It is a good (but not great) ride. The rides pace is uneven. Basically, it is series of good individual stunts, like big drops and speed turns, with slow sections in between. It is worth standing in line to ride, but once you get off, few run back to the line to ride again.

I expected a mediecore average ride....WRONG!! this ride is everything a wood coaster should be out of control, rough and raw, and a speed machine. it caught me by surprise. a little painful around the back though.

wow! What an exiting ride! im kinda hooked on this. but of coarse superman is better, but this comes VERY close. Definetly a good night ride.

After spending a day at the former Riverside (now Six Flags New England) I felt obligated to express my thoughts on the Cyclone. Ive enjoyed the Cyclone for many years-- the OLD Cyclone. What right did Six Flags have in destroying this coaster? They completely changed the 1st drop--no airtime, no sick turn, no feeling that the ride is completely out of control. And to make it worse you can see the old track still in the frame of the ride below the new track...a rude reminder of what the ride used to be. The 1st drop used to be amazing! As a result of the shorter drop, however, the ride now runs faster than before. Could someone please tell me the reason(s) SFNE had in making this change? Was it to make Superman the best coaster in the park? Why not leave a classic alone?

Rough and raw. And I mean that as a compliment.

A real classic wood coaster. I like how it sometimes slows down to let you catch your breath, then takes off again and takes your breath away.
