Not an exciting ride but very educational. I can see why some kids hate it because it is a pretty indepth history lesson. I think that the way up is very well done, but the way down leaves something to be desired. I just dont think the colorful "futuristic" lighting does much to conclude the lesson. What makes this ride decent is the fact that is the EPCOT icon.. you have to respect that fact!

Ever since Epcot’s inaugeral year in Spaceship Earth is the focal point of Epcot with its massive geo-sphere dominating the park’s skyline, emphasizing the park’s futuristic nature. While its appearance seems so simple, there’s just something so powerful and amazing about its appearance that just needs to be experienced to understand. Well it’s definitely hard to move past the attractions impressive appearance, but the ride housed inside is more than worthy.

Thanks to the utilization of the Omnimover ride system, Spaceship Earth has a gargantuan capacity, leading to me never having a wait at all for it. Heck, even if it had a lengthy wait, I would wait it out since Spaceship Earth is just a flat out classic, and a darn good classic to boot.
Well recently the attraction has been updated, and I am glad to report that the new version is easily my personal favorite since it flawlessly blends the attraction’s classic scenes from the past with great new scenes that really enhance the attraction.

Once boarding, the ride begins with the iconic and masterfully executed starfield which is just a great effect and a glorious sight to witness. Following that comes a lengthy showcase of the technology humans have developed over the years to better human life and allow us to progress as a whole. All of the scenes are very well executed and synchronized with the audio, but the history side of the attraction can get a tad boring at times in my opinion. Nonetheless, the attraction is very well executed.

But my favorite segment is the unique and innovative finale during the descent where I could “choose my ideal future” by utilizing the spiffy new touch screens recently installed. This was easily the highlight of the attraction for me as the touch screens added a unique element of interactivity to the attraction, leading to more re-ride value. Not only that, but the animation that ensues depicting everyone’s future is hysterical and ingenious.

Following the long ride, everyone is dumped out into a futuristic playground highlighted by a massive display screen that displays where everyone who just rode Spaceship Earth is from. The whole playground complete with various exhibits of varying quality, but honestly if you want a futuristic playground, Innoventions is much better in my opinion. Spaceship Earth is always a must when I visit Epcot, and it should be for you too.

A very educational, fun way to escape Floridas hot sun. Lines are never that bad and the vehicles and narrorators voice is very relaxing. A good way to escape the hustle and bustle of the crowded paths in Epcot.

It is amazing how much is crammed in there. It is a very fun and imaginative look into time. Lines usually aren’t to bad since it is one continuous train.

Not very impressive, but pretty educational. Hit this only if you have nothing else to do or "you want to go in the ball"

It is by far a must-ride at Epcot. Just learning about the past of communication between man and how the possiblities of the future simply amaze me. I also love looking for the hidden mickeys on this ride.
