its an ok ride. I used to like it a lot more than I do now. Nothing really special about it. Its actually been pretty smooth lately. Its better than the one at CP.

It is a fun looper. The best place to ride it is in the front seat, and then you kinda get "whipped" through the first loop, and you also have a much better view. The lines arent bad, either. It is a fun ride.

i give this ride a six because it was mean to me both times i rode it. first time i rode it i thought it was a good coaster. until we got out of the car and my restraint was stuk closed. lol. second time i rode it i got a bad car and i was hitting my head on the restraints and that wasnt good. i guess this ride was ok.

This is an oldie but goodie. They built The Corkscrew in 1975, as youll see if you visit the official VF website. This was the first looping rollercoaster I ever went on. If you like old-school rollercoasters, then you will like this one. It kinda gives you a rush when youve been on it! Wheeeeeee!

You def. have to try it out if youve never been to Valleyfair.

The Corkscrew is a very simple ride by todays standards. The ride length is very short and thus is the que line length. You can expect to get on the ride when two cars are operating in about 15 minutes. The ride has one vertical loop and two consecutive corkscrews. All three are nice manuevers but are over before you know it. The ride is somewhat smooth. A little rocky around the turns but thats the fun part! The corkscrew was a cheaper edition for a coaster to Valleyfair and worked out well for theme. Its also nice to watch the coaster going upside down right over your head while you are walking on the midway as well.

this was a descent arrow corkscrew and it was a walk-on.

This ride that twists you around and puts you upside down three times will always be a classic at Valleyfair. If you want to get a break from Wild Thing, Steel Venom, and Power Tower, this is the place to be. However, there is one thing that kinda bugs me about this ride. They have shoulder harnests so your head is between the parts that go around your shoulders. They are kind of hard, so you bang your head on them back and forth over and over throughout the ride and by the end of it, you need a pain killer. Maybe pillows would take care of that....

Nice. First inverted ride I ever went on. Too short but the lines are short too!

Not many Gs. The loops and the helix section over the water make it a fun but not outstanding ride. I dont really like the over-the-shoulder harnesses very much, but those obviously cant be avoided on a looping coaster.

For as common as CORKSCREW coasters are, this one delivered alot of fun and a few small surprises. Im giving it an extra point or two because of that. Good solid ride, nice beginner coaster (for the day or for a lifetime), and very well kept. Didnt know smooth and Arrow could exist so nicely.
