The Detonator is a vertical tower ride. It is fun, fast, rerideable, has a large capacity, and a long duration.

A nice added touch to great park.

Detonator is a space shot type of ride. It was the united states first of its kind. Also the first to have two tower design. It is about 150 feet tall and fires you straight up at about 45 mph. I love this as well as my 6 year old daughter. She makes me ride it over and over.

This is about the only ride that i think twice about going on. Totally worth it super high thrilling, going up sum 200+ feet in the air leaves your stomach behind!

great launcher! the first in the world to have side by side towers, also. it is very fun to see which tower launches first (almost like a racer coaster), and is a great launch and fall to half way (it bounces you half way thru the drop down). it gets great airtime, and is an overall good ride! also, the lines usually arent very long if you go on a weekend!

i wont ride it but my sister loves it and shes thinks i should give it a 10.

What a disappointment. It does not even go all the way to the top, and the airtime was not all that great.

Ehh this ride was ok, nothing special. I love the noise before you launch though! The first time up gives you a pretty good view of the park and you get some air as well! But then the ride is boring after that. It was good the first time you launch, then it sucked!

AHHH I LOVE THIS RIDE... I go to worlds of fun all the time during the summer, and the detonator is definately my favorite ride there. When I was like 8 I went on this ride and it scared me to death so I decided to never go on it again, but a couple months ago I decided to go on it but I had to go by myself because my friend wouldnt go. I got on the ride and started freakin out cause I didnt know what was gonna happen but once it took off I started screaming and it was SOO FUNN and afterwards I walked off the ride and grabbed my friend and pulled him into the ride and he LOVED IT and after that we went on it 19 MORE TIMES and it was great.... this ride is a great ride and you cant go to worlds of fun without riding it... and the lines are never long and the airtime at the very top is creepy but AMAZING... definately a must ride...

Typical launch ride. As expected, its greatest feature is the air time at the top of the launch. Ive ridden this many times and it still remains fun.
