Grizzly River Run wins the award for my favorite river rafting ride to date. Though the ride is not incredibly long, enough action is packed into its ride time to make it seem much longer. The lift hill (located appropriately at the beginning, rather than anticlimactically at the end like most river raft rides) has some neat little touches to get you wet. There are three or four great rapids sections, plus a couple of cool caves. But the two drops are what really set this ride apart from the rest. The first simply lets the raft slide down, so whoever ends up going backwards down this drop will get quite a soaking. The second, even larger drop spins the raft at a dizzying rate. This way, everyone goes down forward, backward, and every which way in between. Awesome! The final stretch back to the station (still spinning by the momentum from the drop, by the way) passes over some geysers, and if they happen to spray when your raft passes over them, several riders are guaranteed a drenching. Grizzly Peak is the centerpiece of the Golden State area of the park, and there is some very nice scenery and theming throughout. It appears that this theming is the only component that will be touched up during the renovation of California Adventure. Instead of the more extreme-sports whitewater rafting theme that it has now, it sounds like the ride will be shifting to a more naturalistic, national-park type of theme. No word yet on if Animatronics will be added or not. Either way, this all sounds good to me.

Giving this one a 10 because I feel it is the best river rapid ride in the world. Love the drop the scenery and the thrills. A must stop on your Disneyland Resort stop.

This is the best river rapids ride I have ridden. I enjoyed it from the theming in the queue to the gysers at the end. The idea of adding mist and squirts of water along the long lift was genius and the mountain is outstanding. The ride has a bit of similarity to the Matterhorn if you know what I mean. This ride had plenty of thrilling parts and from what I remember, there werent any boring parts except waiting to get off toward the end.
The last drop is one of the biggest drops on a rapids ride I have been on too. A+ for Disney!

My favorite rapids ride. It is insanely well themed, and the regular rapids are energetic. But then there are the 2 drops. On the first one you plummit down it and go straight into a rapid and a big tidal wave comes over you. Then on the second one the spin you which was really surprising during the fact. Great ride!

Standard rapids ride around a nicely themed mountain. Its not too wet, and the spinning drop is really good.

Not the best rapids ride. However i feel that it is hard to make a rapids ride that isnt fun. Not worth a long wait. Ride this in the afternoon when it gets hot.

Not too shabby.
Its not very scary but it is exciting
You will get wet, but how bad depends on your luck. First time i rode it, my hair got wet. The second time, i was soaked head to toe.

One of the best rides in the resort. You get wet on the way up because of water spouts that leak on the lift hill and get soaked on the way down from the two drops. The first time I rode this I got so soaked that I had to change clothes. Every part of the ride is fun, from the lift hill to the drops. The lift hill also offers a nice view of the Paradise Pier area. Its also really great at night, just as the parks closing, because there are no lines, and the water seems to be warmer at night. The lines for this ride can be pretty long, however, which makes it very worthwhile to get a fastpass from the nearby fastpass machines, or a singles pass from one of the ride operators (for those of you who dont know what that is, it is a pass that lets you basically enter the ride through the exit line, where the ride operators let you get on the ride when they need 1 extra person to fill the car/boat). Overall, this is a great ride.
