this ride has lots of great airtime, drops, and turns. not that high though, but still a great coaster!
This is the first coaster i eve rode and thats why i like it sooo much.
A great coaster in a great park this ride as plenty of airtime great drops almost everything i want in a ride
This is not only my favorite coaster. Its my favorite amusement park ride period. I love the airtime on this coaster. Youre almost out of your seat as much as you in it.
The best coaster ever built, period.
Pretty good wooden coaster...a little small and predictable, but the airtime and lap bars make up for that. I had a blast on it at PPP.
This ride just blew me away last week while attending PPP. The tunnel to the lift is really long and very dark. The seats were comfortable and there is no stapling to be found
The operators are friendly and get you pumped for the ride. The airtime is the most insane I have yet to experience. And the speed and pacing is just right. A very fun ride indeed that all should have the pleasure of riding. WOW!
What a great ride, I wasnt disappointed. Great airtime! Recommended for everbody!
I cannot imagine any appreciable wait for this ride. However long the line is get in it. The ride ops set the standard for efficiency. This coaster is as perfect a woodie as can be found. Heres why. The turns are done at a fairly slow speed reducing the lateral G-forces. This is done by putting the turns at the top of the hills. Because of this I can take my 5 year olds on with me and they dont get knocked around. A dads elbow to the head is not good. Phoenix is basically a double out-and-back in a figure 8. In between the turns the hills use the potential energy to maximum effect. Bunny hops litter the ride giving generous amounts of positive and negative Gs. My favorite part is after the third drop, there is an unexpected bump in the track that gives incredible air. There isnt another coaster I am aware of that gives a good adult ride and yet is comfortable for small tikes. I have taken my girls on Twister but I had to watch that they did not bang their chins on the lap bar at the bottom of the drops. This is a family ride. If a kid can make the height requirement go for it.
Whats not to love. A beautiful restored (by the owners of a lumber company) masterpiece of a woodie. Probably the ultimate proof that bigger isnt better. It looks like a mundane little rollercoaster in this absolutely gorgeous century old family owned park. But thats part of the beauty of it, the deception. the phoenix is the most aptly named ride in existance. No theming necessary. airtime is almost on a par with the Comet at GE and the drops are deceptively powerful. the ride from lift hill crest to station is just over a minute, but depending if you love coasters or was dragged on by a true believer, its the shortest or longest minute of your life. Recommended for those who love to fly. Six flags will never duplicate tyhis experience. Itd take tehm over a hundred years just to grow the shade trees! This park is well worth the trip from anywhere. Bring the kiddies and introduce them to a park that is still run like in the golden age.
No POP, you buy tickets for each ride. A side benefit is less lines everywhere.
BTW Knoebels operates the hands down best carousel in existance! Grab the brass ring!
