I think this may have been the roughest suspended coaster I have ever been on. Lots of bad vibrations and even some headbanging on it. It does have a nice location, up the mountain and over the water, but it also feels like it is going to fall apart and fall in.
Vortex has intence speed and the first drop is great. the only complaint i have is that it seems that it only last a couple of seconds i no its longer then that but it still needs to be way longer.
A good coaster, definitely worth waiting the extra few minutes to ride in the front. The dives are fun and turns are smooth. Ive only ridden one other suspended coaster (Iron Dragon at Cedar Point). Vortex has better vertical and the water fly-by is superb. Iron Dragon has less vertical and their water fly-by is so-so, but Iron Dragons flight through trees has no comparison. Vortex can have obnoxiously long lines -- MCMB and Top Gun are better at moving crowds at Canadas Wonderland.
very fun! very fast! very..........short!
A simmilar ride to Top Gun at PKI. The ride has some good drops and speed as well as some great turns, like the helix over the water. It takes you 91ft into the mountain and spits you out at 55mph. A must ride at this park.
Vortex is a fast and furious suspended coaster, especially with the massive first drop off of Wonder Mountain. Yet, I still think the ride is a tad too short, and should have another lift hill, like Iron Dragon and Big Bad Wolf. Big Bad Wolf is still my favorite suspended coaster.
The ride was okay, the best part was the view. It wasnt a very thrilling rollercoaster, just a relaxing one. At least the lines are nice...
Very fun, and crazy ride. A bit short, but still, very good. Among the top 3 suspended (non-looping) coasters in the world!
A decent suspended coaster, and I do like how its set over the water. Loses points for its shabby construction (its just not even close to sturdy) and an overall lack of creativity. TOP GUN at PKI is shorter (but not by much), but it uses the terrain much better and gives some great turns through the trees. This one feels like they said "lets just put a coaster here," and that was the end of it.
