The Hurler is a cool wooden coaster and I would put it on my top 10 list of things to do at Carowinds. It has some super 90 degree turns which make you feel like your going to fall out of your seat. A little rough though.
I rather enjoyed this ride. Its got a lot of punch for such a small coaster. I love the speed on this thing! The only thing I dont like about it is the fact that the only place that you get the "real" airtime is the very front seat. The rest of the train sorta gets shafted when it comes to the airtime department. Still a great coaster for this park. I still like Thunder Run better though! lol
Both Hurlers Ive been on seem rather plain to me. It seems the best part is the airtime run out and then back, but its too short and the rest of the ride is far too bland.
Personally, I love this ride. The first hill is great and delivers some nice speed, and then, instead of going strait up another hill to slow it down, it goes right into a banked curve which turns you into a totally different direction, keeping all your speed. Then your real adventure begins. There are alot of bunny hills, with a bunch of airtime. I had my lapbar up about a handsize off my lap, so I had so much airtime it was amazing. A particulary short line, 4 helixes, a fun hill and some awesome airtime make this ride an awesome triple-out-and-back coaster.
The last time I was at Carowinds I was able to stay on this ride like 3 times in a row. The theming is pretty good, the ride is a pretty good small woodie. Since Carowinds has so few coasters, this is a must ride if you are there.
Pretty nice woodie. Its very bumpy and bumps you all around. It has some sharp turns and nice hill.s Its pretty short but the line is never too long. Good ride.
This was fun and fast but it didnt seem as fun as thunder road..but i still liked it alot
This ride is great, it has excelent airtime and great pacing. Definately dont overlook this ride!
Well it is an Odd looking thing. And even without the Waynes World theming the name would be apt.
A fun little woodie that really describes description kind of but not really a twister, kind of but not really a triple out and back.
Anyway Nice first drop with turn around for a bit of tension building. Then an incredible banked turn without any rise to slow it down. The rest of the ride is a series of bunny hop[s that the train flies over. This thing does hurl! Back at a quiet end of the park too so rerides are no problem -- ya gotta love Carolina park ettiquette
The Hurler is a cool wooden coaster based on the Waynes World theme. This is a fast woodie with an awesome first drop, high banked curves and some great airtime. Though this coaster is not very long it packs quite a punch. If you are looking for a smooth ride, forget it. This is a thrillng fast ride with a strategically placed piece of trick track that will get you attention. Lots of airtime. If you get to the park just as it opens you wont have much of a wait if any. One time, my son and I were able to ride the Hurler 10 times in a row.
