This coaster is awesome and one of my favorite woodies. I lke all the tunnels and the helix is great. This coaster is fast, has alot of airtime, very long in duration, and it never lets up. It is a must ride for enthusiasts. A very good addition to Holiday World. The Legend is a wood roller coaster (twister). It was built in 2000 by CCI. It was designed by Larry Bill and Dennis McNulty. It is 116' tall, 4,042' long, it has 4 tunnels and a double helix.

This ride is relentless. I did not expect it to be better than Raven but it was for me. I rode it 11 times, including at least one ride in each car. If in the back on the right and you ride with your hands up the person on your left will be smacked upside the head. My favorite moment was after the second drop you go under a water slide and then get some serious and unexpected air on a unassuming bunny hop.

Times ridden: 2 ~ Ride experience: 10 ~ Layout: 10 ~ Thrill Factor: 10 ~ Airtime: 10 ~ Landscaping: 10 ~ Evaluation: A masterpiece of a wooden coaster. The superb layout combined with the out-of-control feeling as the train flies through the dense woods make Legend one of the best wooden coasters Ive experienced. The ride is fast paced featuring tunnels, many air time hills, and an excellent tunneled double helix. Definitely a must ride for any coaster enthusiast.

BEST WOODEN COASTER ON EARTH. Hands down. If you dont think so ride this one again and u will most likely change your mind about it. The lines are never over an hour so you can ride it more than once which u will want to. Ride it!! Oh and heres a tip: DONT stick your leg in between the fence posts around the station. When me and my friend were in line she stuck it in between the wooden posts and it got completely stuck! It was the funniest thing ever and it took about an hour to get it out! haha this creep in line behind us offered to cut her leg out and pulled out a knife..we were like uh no thanks anyway! Two workers yanked it out finally and she had a huge black bruise covering her knee for a really long time lol we still laugh about that!!

Great first drop in the back seat. The ride never lets up. A nice trip through the water park. The lateral Gs are intense near the end. The howl at the top of the lift adds a nice touch of themeing.

Since I live 15 minutes from Beast, and even am a ride operator on it, I never thought Id find a better wood coaster than it. Then I rode Ghostrider. After that, I thought Id never ride a better wood coaster that that. Then I visited a little park named Holiday World. Legend is by far the best wood coaster I have ever been on. It has close calls with the water park, a nice sized first drop, a long layout, and tons of airtime and laterals, at the same time in some spots! My new #1 wood coaster, and #1 coaster of them all!

I thought this was a very good woodie and it fit perfectly with Raven and Holiday World. After riding Raven, I was expecting a somewhat similar ride that seemed to come to an end rather quickly. However, The Legend is a very very fulfilling coaster. It seems to have so many things packed into its layout. From the wicked first drop(airtime is amazing in the back seat), to the airtime drenched hills, cool headchopper effect with Zoombabwe and Zinga, and finally the brilliant tunneled helix pulling some of the best laterals found on any coaster today, this ride just never lets up. Perfect for any thrill seeker searching for an outta control wooden coaster.

This ride seems to go on and on. It weaves in through many parts of the forest, and has an awesome air time. At night, they sometimes play Sleepy Hollow effects on the speakers while your going up the hill. As you curve downwards you can hear a lone wolf howling. Its an awesome experience. The back is probably the best, and I love how it curves into the station.

I dont know how anyone who likes wood coaster cant give this ride at least an 8. The only negative for this ride or this park is because the day I went there was like this busiest day in their history. I cant imagine how fun HW would be on a Wednesday. Just a flat out amazing coaster. Great view, speed, eveerything. EDIT As my coaster count has nearly tripled since my first visit I need to revisit this review. APPEARANCE-9 I love the look of the first hill and the spotlight and wolf sound effects are amazing at night. The station is very superficial though. CAPACITY-9 Two train operation and quick loading no real complaints. RIDE QUALITY-7 One spot of air and you make the same turn over and over. Nice speed throughout. FUN-8 At night a 10 but a large drop off during the day. RERIDE-10 The coasters are why you come to this place and they are all very good so you got to reride. OVERALL-43 AVG-8.6 Not the perfect ten that I used to think, but it has been well maintained and still offers a very good ride.

This was an excellent coaster and I love how it goes so close to the waterslides.
