Space Mountain blew my socks off. I was stunned at how awesome the ride ended up being - the tunnel effect was pretty cool, and the ride really moved at a good pace, producing some thrilling drops and turns. This may be my second favorite enclosed coaster, aside from only the Mummy at Universal. Such a fantastic ride, and I like enjoying it from the people mover too
more of a family ride then a thrill ride but always a classic. great theming and scenery and good beginner ride. the drop in the end caught me by surpise. i also wish that 2 people can sit together instead of one.
I think this ride was the biggest disappointment of all Walt Disney World. I rode the renew version of Space Mountain at Disneyland a while ago, and the ride in Magic Kingdom really pales in comparasion to the Dhe isneylands. There is no on-board sound track on this ride, and the special effects are really cheesy. The wrost part got to be the it is way too jerky to enjoy. I think this coaster really need some serious rehab. I standed for almost 2 hours for this ride which really made my experience worse. For space mountain lover, try the west coast version and youll have a blast.
This is an average family coaster with good theming. Not for the thrill seeker.
This is a somewhat mild roller coaster compared to the Rock n Rollercoaster at Disney/MGM, but it is themed great. My teenage niece, my senior citizen father and I all loved this coaster. As a rule my dad hates roller coasters. The special effects are what this ride is about.
LOVED IT!! Space Mountain is one of my faves at WDW Magic Kingdom. A heck of a lot better than Big Thunder Mountain.
Magic Kingdoms Space Mountain is a classic. It actually still packs a good punch after all these years... its a pretty wild ride, and really long, too. Well, Thunder Mountain is longer, time-wise, but thats because you have 3 lifthills to break up the action.
This is a great ride. I especially like the one person cars. I like the track to the right more than than the left.
Classic! This amazing little coaster doesnt even break 30 mph, yet it is packed with thrills. Its not intense, its not fast, but its abrupt changes of direction and sudden drops still excite after all these years. I love this ride. The new generation may not be wowed due to countless mega-intense thrill rides in nearby parks, but Space Mountain is a true original. I still love the queue, and every time I visit MK it is like a walk down memory lane. When it comes time for rehab, I hope they keep the soundtrack from the line intact.
a great ride i thought it was a blast
