I believe this will always be in my top five. I know it is old and does not go very fast but it seems like it is one of the fastest coasters made. The reason is the quick tight turns and the fact that you are not strapped in so tight you can't move. I have ridden other enclosed coasters (rockin roller coaster, the mummy) and they do not seem to be nearly as intense to me. The warp tunnel and the re-entry tunnel even though the technology is old still give a great effect. This is a definite not miss while at disney. Overall rating 5.0
Disney wouldnt be Disney without this classic roller coaster. You got to love those asteroids flying across the celing and the creepy feeling you get when you hear the music walking down the queue area. Its also nice to get out of the summer heat. The a\c in this ride is set on about 60 degrees.
Date Ridden: Once many years ago and once on 12-31-2007. Times Ridden: 2 This seems to be a popular ride to review on this site lately and it fits with my theme of finishing up the Disney coasters Ive ridden. So Ill go ahead and knock this one off. To start with, I like it. It is very different from the version I rode a couple of months ago in CA, but it is still solid nonetheless. The posted wait time was over 2 hours but we were on in about 45 minutes as the park was packed out with people (like us) ringing in the new year. I like the single passenger bobsled type trains as they were very comfortable. I also liked the "station" where you could see the trains whizzing about above you. To me it is a different ride, yet still unique enough to get a solid 8. Again, Disney takes a ride that scores around a 7 and gets a 1 point bump from me for themeing and enjoyment. The ride seems much faster than it actually is with its quick dips and turns. I was pleased with my ride experience and will always remember the fun this ride gave me on New Years Eve of 2007.
This ride used to be great, until Magic Kingdom management allowed it to practically fall apart. I love wooden roller coasters, but in its current state, this makes my neck hurt really bad.
Good indoor coaster, though its not as good as the one in California. The dome looks great and both tracks give different rides, but the effects were out of date and the stars simply couldnt be seen. The tunnel was cool though, the whole ride was glass-smooth, and there were some great drops and decent turns during the ride.
Although the line was long it was a pretty fun coaster and the theme was held all the way through
Lengthly coaster, plenty of excitement, Awesome ride!
Good classic coaster. This is a must do at the Magic Kingdom. The best part is the fact that you cant see where you are going. Not normally a terrible wait.
Great old roller coaster! Its a true disney classic.
The first time I rode it, the ride was great...it was much darker. When I rode it about six years later I was greatly disappointed. The ride room was much lighter than it was in the past, which let you know that the car was moving slow. I was disappointed after waiting an hour. This ride is a huge disappointment. The space ceiling was cool though, but with too much light it gets much more boring.
