I cant believe I didnt review this before the demise. Not to beat a dead horse but this coaster really did have a pathetic fall from grace. How could this monster move so slowly? This ride was worthy of an 8-9 when it opened

This woodie is good but its a rough ride to go on! I liked the first drop and there were some airtime moments. Just because a good coaster is rough is no reason to give it a 1

It is a rough ride but good one, that is the price we pay for the huge wooden coasters

Its rough, especially around the huge helix after the first drop. I can only imagine what it would feel like if there was no break on that hill. The ride also seems to lose steam near the end. In between, its not bad, but definitely not a must ride when visiting the park.

I liked Hercules. A very nice setting, plus a few moments of air, a magnifcent drop, unique layout and a great beginning makes this good coaster. Its a little rough but its more of the wild rough, which I like.

I found Hercules to be a fun coaster. Its a good thing theres a trim on that first drop or some bones will be broken. Its fast paced and not that rough in the front. The only big problem I have with this ride is the slow loading process.

Although the coaster is rough I liked it. I just dont like the brake at the top of the lift hill.
I enjoyed the tunnel under the station. And its great at night. The loop around te lake is good also.

not to many ppl like this ride for some reason. But it was my very first roller coaster, and i went on it when i was very young so i guess i never noticed the roughness of it. but it was pretty fun.

My past experiences on this ride had me prepared for the major disappointment I had experienced each visit before. It seemed that this magnificent "looking" ride had been braked to the point of anemia. Perhaps it was the heavy rain of the day and the persistent drizzle, but this was the BEST ride on Hercules I had ever experienced. The drop out of the station remains one of the best features (and one effectively recycled by firms like GCI). The first drop remains one of the best of any wooden – bar none – even with the brakes going over the top. I had always thought this ride had trim brakes all over the place, but was surprised that there was only one – at the top of the first drop. My criticisms of the past were based on my staunch belief that the track had been altered by brakes. Little did I know it was just a lousy design! Like I said, the weather worked to this coasters favor and served up a rather good run. After the first hill, this cannot be called an exciting coaster. It seems just a bunch of straight aways and turn arounds. As a matter of fact, the best (and only) drop after the first one comes at the very end as you come into the station. In considering my rating, understand that the first drop contributes to one third of the rating, the lousy weather providing a fast track contributes to the next third, and the combination of those two in providing a ride SO TOTALLY superior to any I have had in years contributes the final third.

This is an OK coaster. I agree that this is a very rough ride but it makes up for that in the form of speed. The first drop is great and the turn is so incredibly unlike most woodies. Then you come to the camelbacks that throw some good speed off, especially the one that dips under the station. Then comes the slow turns that are banked, this is scary cuz you feel like your gonna fall out! Then is the other ssslow turn then the camelback that gives massive airtime. All in all its ok.
