It was different and pretty fun but didn't give the thrill I hoped for

Apollo 2000 at Dorney Park is a Swing Around flat ride, one that is becoming increasingly harder to find at parks. I find these flats to be a good deal of fun, and they offer a unique experience from the typical flats. As the center of the ride spins, the ride vehicle arms swing in and out, producing a mildly thrilling ride that is quick and a great way to cool off. I was bummed when my home park removed their version of this, so I'm always happy to find one at a park and give it a ride. This one does get a slight knock though because the ride cycle is awfully short - just as it gets good the ride slows down and stops. Other than that though, this is still a solid flat ride at Dorney that is worth a fun spin.

Apollo was a very fun flat. The ride itself looks no different than the standard Huss swing around, but the ride is quite good. This one was pretty fast and provided some decent forces, especially during the swings outwards, but the ride is exceptionally short though.

Pretty boring, not that intense, kind of short, meant for young ones, I think Ive made my point.

Wow. I thought this ride was was pretty good. But, however, it was kinda short. If it wasnt for that, Id probably give this ride a 10. The view was great as well.

This is the best scrambler in the world.
Just kidding. It would be IF it really was a scrambler. But it isnt, its an Apollo 2000. A very fun, basic flat ride. Sitting on the outside of the seat is alot more fun, cause when it swings out near the trees it looks like youre gonna hit them. Alot of fun. looks nice too.

This is a nice little ride and as simple as can be: You spin around in a circle in a little car, every other car shoots up on a arm that extends from the main lift arm, then those cars go down while the ones that were down go up. As basic as it is, I found it surprisingly pleasurable and disorienting - somehow I just couldnt prepare myself for that rhythmic extra up and down motion. But its gentle enough for a kid, & I didnt initially have any interest in riding it, so it was a very pleasant surprise.

I like this ride. Another ride for a middle aged adult to enjoy or tale a child on. You sit in pairs in individual cars. The ride goes around shooting you out then allowing you to fall back. It moves along fairly well. It can be nauseating-it broke once and did not stop for about 7 minutes!---my kid (8) loved it. It is fun to try and catch a tree branch…though they are always just out of reach. It appears well kept. The line should mover quicker though. I have found the rides length just right, no too long, not too short. Perhaps they decrease the time during peak season, I saw a complaint in another review. Great for non-thrill seeking adults and kids. Teens will likely enjoy it if the line is not long while passing by. I like the area it is in. I sometimes like to hit up the Tilt-A-Whirl, Himmilaya and Appollo 2000 all at once on my way out. If I am not nauseous after that I’ll linger but it usually gets the kids on a few rides on the way out late at night without too long of a wait...at pre and post season.

Nothing spectacular here. The ride is so short too. It would be a decent ride if it were longer. There are some good forces when you go airbourne. It goes fairly fast around. It needs some scenery to make it any kind of a real ride. This is just an average ride at best. It is always a walk on, so if your just looking for something to be on for a minute, this is something that you can hop onto.
