This was my first inverted looping coaster and it left me speechless. The first drop was awesome and the the loop was great with the whole dueling aspect of it. If only the ride time was longer, then it would have deserved a 10.

Ice was amazing! We rode in the front row, which was only a five minute wait longer than the traditional wait. The vertical loop is amazing. Facing the fire train is spectacular. Honestly, you only notice that you are dueling with the other train three times. Occasionally you see other people feet around you. The ride is great! The line moved pretty quickly. To top it off, great themeing!

I liked ice slightly more than fire. I found the variety of elements more to my liking on ice. Also, my rating may be a little skewed because I rode ice in front and fire in the middle, so I was able to enjoy the dueling elements more on my ice ride. I had actually wanted to try the back on fire but my sister didnt want the extra wait time. The theming is quite immersive and also a little dangerous. At a few particularly dark spots where the line came to a stop, I ran into a some other riders. Darn poor night vision. The dueling element clearly makes the ride, as a stand alone coaster, either side should not be ranked this high. Even so, I feel that ice is in reality only a 7.5 out of 10, but since it is a bit better than fire, Ive bumped it up to an 8.

I like the ICE better. As a matter of fact my vote goes to either fires rare and Ices front to creat the biggest collision effect. Not having as many air times as fire, Ice does have things to comsenpate. The monsterous corbra roll and the straight down beeline are so good, but the star gotta be the another near collision with wall.

IMO this one just doesnt offer what Fire does. I have never considered a cobra roll a great element and it is kind of the featured element on this one. My favorite element on this one is the zero-G roll. It just adds the pop to this ride. My suggestion on this one is to ride in front and enjoy the "collisions."

B&M delivers again with this excellent invert. The general area around the coaster, not to mention the astounding queue, make this coaster, along with its counterpart, a must- ride. If you only have time to ride one, this is the one I would choose. However, if you prefer immelmans and more repeated inversions, go for Fire. Ice has more variety with its inversions, with (in order) a zero-g roll, cobra roll right up alongside the castle, a vertical loop, and two corkscrews/wingovers. The last time I rode this was a night in the back row, and what a ride it was. Plenty intense, couldnt see much of anything for a lot of it, and the zero-g/cobra roll section was unbelieveable. If you get a chance to do a night ride on either side, I highly recommend it, but its terrific either way. It may be a bit intense for smaller kids, but for those looking to challenge their first larger, looping coaster, theyre gunning to start off with a bang!

I found that Ice was rougher than Fire, and really lacked the intensity that Fire brought to the table. While the inversions are more varied, I didnt enjoy the layout of Ice nearly as much as Fires. The first drop was good, however the first turn-around was not a good lead-off element. I dug the inline twist, but the boomer hurt my head, and wasnt the most enjoyable ever. The loop was great, though, but after that, I thought the ride died. The barrel roll was good enough, but the fact that it just turns a couple of times after and is finished really left me with a sour taste in my mouth. I also thought it was a lot more rough than Fire, without the amount of intensity that it gave off. Ice is still good, but its nothing compared to Fire.

Positives: This ride is very consistant with the many more inversions it has than fire. You maintain your speed throughout the entire ride and never know where youll end up next. It had a short wait, but probably not worth more than a 30 or 45 minutes.

Negatives: Not many Gs (go on fire if you want those) and a short ride.

I actually like these pretty much the same. I think when I was there with my husband we actually prefered this one to fire because of the a couple of inversion placements. But for the most part, I cant really say I prefer on to the other. I do think that the lay out of this is very good and of course the ride is very smooth.
