An incredibly fun replica of the Coney Island Cyclone, the Texas Cyclone delivers a fast and furious ride. As opposed to what many previous reviewers have noted, I dont feel that this ride was in bad shape at all. It had the appropriate feel of an old-fashioned wooden coaster, thats all. After being incredibly familiar with Magic Mountains Psyclone, this one did not feel rough in the least, and the boardwalk theming surrounding the ride (including the clowns mouth you walk through at the entrance) added some nice touches.

The first time I rode this was the year that it opened. I was truly terrified, and yet rode it over and over. Ive ridden it many times over the years since it opened and it doesnt seem to be as fast and wild as I remembered it was when I was a child. Ive been told that it had been reprofiled some time ago. I think with a little T.L.C. this could once again be a great coaster.

Good ride. Too bad Six Flags isnt taking care of it. This fall a board came loose and two trains of park guests were injured when it hit several of the riders as they went by.

Best woodie in Texas, even better than the Giant! The first two drops are awesome. Good repeater, for the best ride, get either the very front or the very back.

I just really liked it

Its a nice woodie. replica of the legendary "Cyclone" except its faster and taller. Not as good as other woodies in the state, but its still fun. One of SFAWs better rides. I give it an 8.

Tried it front and back on opening day 2003 and enjoyed it more than all other Astroworld attractions. Fast enough, rough enough, never boring. Doesnt look like much compared to the wood at Fiesta and Six Flags, but a great ride.

This is a great woodie. Its fast, fun, and has a whole lotta drops. If only Six Flags would give us the money to get this thing re-painted.

What a Woodie!!! This is a Old Woodie That I was scare to go on Due to the Condition of the Station, Walkway to the coaster, and the Roller Coaster it self, If they could re-do the poor condition of the Coaster I would give this a Perfect 10 But I rank it a 7 due to the bad Condition of this Coaster. Its A Triple Out And Back Coaster and goes 60 MPH!!! The drop is only 86 feet but the speed and smooth ride makes this one of the best!!!!

This is a perrty good wooden coaster.The first drop is the best.
