This was my first wooden coaster. This is a nice out-and-back coaster, but I took away two points for the severe roughness. And I took away two other points because of the ear shattering noise in the tunnel. Great coaster, but I felt the only exciting part was going backwards down the drop.
Rebel Yell is an alright roller coaster. For enthusiasts its just OK, but for the family this is the perfect coaster. The first drop is great, but it only has maybe 1-2 moments of good airtime. It also becomes very slow on the trip back to the station. The racing aspect doesnt really add to much to the ride for me.
Theres nothing special about this ride a simple out and back. Going backwards however does give you a little variety though.
Fun and fast run forward (with a great visual of the mass of track in front of you from the frist drop). With recent re tracking this thing really flies.
Overall, not quite as good as the grizzly, but I still enjoyed it, and the backwards run is a neat variation.
i love this coaster. its a great woodie. and i love how the racer is backwards and forwards. 10.
I found the forwards facing car of this coaster to be somewhat of a dissapointment, but the backwards facing car was a unique experience. Although I feel that this ride can not compare to Grizzly, riding it backwards does offer quite a bit of excitment, and almost makes up for the poor forwards experience I had.
Decent ride, but for an out-and-back, it offered very little airtime. However, the backwards facing train is very interesting, as you dont know what to expect, and adds some excitement to the ride. It is also a fairly long ride.
Love racers, and this is no different! gotta ride it backwards though!
Rebel Yell was good - no GREAT, but good. A nice looking racer, the park rode one track train backward and the other forward - making for some fun. The ride is a rather long 2.5 minutes, making the queue move very slowly, because each track ran only one train. Had they run extra trains, my experience might have been better.
re-reviewed (4/17/03) Great looking coaster. I cant say the ride is as good as the visual. A classic out and back - but kind of disappointing. The exit queue is incredibly frustrating in its length and the fact that it depositis you in the middle of a kind of boring, barren midway. It could have deposited riders back into the Rebel Yell / Hypersonic area 40 feet before its ridiculous endpoint.
