A moderate ride, with a good launch, and creepy winding Que, but it was very rough in the back where i sat, and they had the lights turned all the way up in the staion.
Great ride. I went to PKD on a day there were no lines at all- not even for Hypersonic XLC! (which I was very happy about) So, I didnt get to see much theming, but from quick glances while jumping over the railings in the empty queue, it looked pretty cool. They ride ops. freakied me out in the beginning, when they were like "All Clear."- lol. I get scared easily.
This is a great ride, never rode it when it had the old restraints but love it now! the launch into darkenss is great.
A fun ride. Even though its a clone of others, Paramount did a great job with the theme on this one. Very nice queue and station. Even the lighting effects on the coaster itself were cool. The rides transitions are rough normally and thats enhanced by the darkness but its still a smooth and intense ride for the most part.
This ride is awesome! I love the theme. It is soo neat. I love when it blasts u off- thats the best part because u get ur picture right after it blasts u off! And i have seen some funny faces! LoL!
My second launching coaster. This coaster was great, and has a nice twisting layout..... inside a building. I took away two points because it is enclosed. And one point because it was very rough.
I enjoyed this coaster and thought the launch was great. Not to mention the themeing. You just really cant see where you are going. And all you see is colored lights. I felt the themeing was the only great part about Flight of Fear.
My second launching coaster, and very good one! While the brakes kill the speed in the middle, it is still a fun ride. The theming is great, and it was a walk-on for nearly 45 minutes. Launching into total darkness is awesome, check it out!
Updated Review: Somehow this ride was better than I rembered. It's fast and seems to be a longer ride than it actually is. A fun and disorenting journey in the dark. Love the UFO in the wharehouse / Area 51 theming too.
spaghetti bowl clones suck indoors. SFIs version is much better. i give it a 6.
On the day I went to PKD, there were almost no lines for anything in the park, except for hypersonic XLC. As a result, I did not get a chance to adequately look over the theming for this ride. However, even without experiencing much of the theming, this ride managed to stand out. Comparisons to the Rockin Roller Coaster at MGM are inevitable, and although I liked that ride more for its theming, I feel that this ride was somewhat more intense than the Rockin Roller Coaster. Had I gotten a chance to better survey the theming for this ride, it could quite possibly have recieved just as high a rating as I gave the Rockin Roller Coaster. Nevertheless, this ride was both thrilling and fun, and well worth a ride or two if you visit this park.
